in the Southern Alps; and towards the West by the
Westland Subdivision hereinbefore described to the
source of the Waimakariri River, the starting point.

The Southern Subdivision

Bounded towards the North-east by the Christ-
church Subdivision hereinbefore described, from the
source of the Clyde River to the mouth of the
Rangitata River; towards the East by the sea to the
mouth of the Waitaki River, thence towards the
south-west by the right bank of that river to its
confluence with the Ohau River, thence by the right
bank of that river, the north-eastern shore of Ohau
Lake, and the right bank of the Dobson River to its
source in the Southern Alps; and towards the West
by the Westland Subdivision hereinbefore described
to the source of the Clyde River, the starting point.

pended in Marlborough and in Amuri. Notice
No. 13.

A PROCLAMATION.

B virtue and in pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the second section
of "The Sheep Act, 1878," and of all other powers
and authorities enabling me in that behalf, I,
Hercu les George Robert Robinson, Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and
order that, in the subdivisions of the Marlborough
Sheep District, including the Amuri Subdivision, as
the same are constituted by Proclamation under the
said Act, dated the twenty-third day of September,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine, being

within, or partly within, the Provincial Districts of
Marlborough and Nelson, the operation of sections
twenty-three, twenty-five, twenty-six, twenty-seven,
twenty-eight, and twenty-nine of "The Sheep Act,
1878," shall be and is hereby suspended until the
thirty-first day of December, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty, inclusive; and I do hereby
further declare that the exercise of this present
authority shall not be deemed to preclude me from
similarly suspending the operation of any of the
aforesaid sections of the said Act for a further period
within the same subdivisions, if it shall be found
necessary so to do.

Revoking notice declaring Clean and Infected Sheep
Districts and declaring New Clean and Infected
Sheep Districts within the Colony.-Notice No. 14.

Colonial Secretary's Office,
Wellington, 24th September, 1879.

IT is hereby notified that, under the provisions of
Section 9, of "The Sheep Act, 1878," His Excel-
lency the Governor, this day, has revoked the notice
bearing date the 28th February, 1879, constituting
Clean Sheep Districts and Infected Sheep Districts.

IT IS FURTHER NOTIFIED that under the above-
named authority His Excellency the Governor, this
day, has declared the Sheep Districts of Napier,
Canterbury, and Otago, as defined in the Proclama-
tions of 24th December, 1878, and 23rd of September,
1879, to be Clean Sheep Districts; and the Sheep
Districts of Auckland, New Plymouth, Wellington,
Nelson, Waiau, and Marlborough, as defined in the
same Proclamations, to be Infected Sheep Districts.
