and Canterbury amended. Notice No. 12.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the eighth section
of "The Sheep Act, 1879," and of all other powers
and authorities enabling me in that behalf, I,
Hercule George Robert Robinson, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim
and declare that so much of the Proclamations of
the twenty-fourth day of December, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-eight, and of the
twentieth day of January, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-nine, as describe the West-
land, the Marlborough, the Nelson, and the Canter-
bury Sheep Districts, and the subdivisions thereof,
respectively, is hereby rescinded: And I hereby
proclaim and declare, that the Marlborough, the
Nelson, and the Canterbury Sheep Districts, and the
subdivisions thereof, and also that the Waiau Sheep
District, respectively, shall, for the purposes of the
said Act hereafter, be as the same are described in the
Schedule hereto, and that such districts and subdivi-
sions shall be known respectively by the names set
forth in the said Schedule; and that all boroughs
in such districts shall be deemed to be included in
the counties wherein they are situate.

SCHEDULE.

NELSON SHEEP DISTRICT.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Nelson. Bounded towards the West and North by
the sea from the mouth of the Grey River to head
of that arm of Tennyson Inlet which approaches
nearest to Squally Cove, Croisilles Harbour; thence
towards the East by a right line to Mount McLaren,
thence along the summit of the watershed between
the Pelorus and Blind Bay over Mount Elliot, Cas-
tor Peak, Mount Duppa to Saddle Hill, thence by a
right line to the source of the Heringa River, thence
by that river to its confluence with the Pelorus River,
thence up that river to its source in the Red Hills,
thence by the summit of the watershed between the
Wairau River and Blind Bay, over Dun Mountain,
Mount Richmond, Mount Rintoul to Ward's Pass,
thence by Sections Nos. 7, 4, and 3, Wiesenhavern's
Run, known as the Red Hills Reserve, thence west-
erly to and then along the summit of the St. Arnaud
Range to Mount Franklyn, thence along the summit
of the Spencer Range to Travers' Peak, and thence
along the summit of the watershed to the saddle at
the source of the Hurunui and Teremakau Rivers;
and towards the South by a right line from thence to
the issue of the Arnold River from Lake Brunner,
thence by the right bank of the said river to its
junction with the Grey River, and thence by the right
bank of that river to its mouth, the starting point,
and shall comprise the following subdivisions:β€”

The Buller and Grey Subdivision.

Bounded towards the North by a right line from
the mouth of the River Heaphy to Mount Domett,
thence along the summit of the range over Mount
Snowdon to Mount Peel; towards the East by a
right line from thence to the Karamea Bend on
square 156, thence by a right line to the confluence
of the Hope and Buller Rivers, thence by the
nearest spur to the summit of the watershed between
the Howard and Rotoroa Rivers, thence along the
summit of that watershed to Mount Travers, thence
along the summit of St. Arnaud Range to Mount
