IT is hereby notified for general information that
the designations of the Post Offices at Spring-
field, in the Postal District of Auckland, and Kowai
Pass, in the Postal District of Christchurch, have
been changed respectively to

RAMARAMA and
SPRINGFIELD.

Additions and Alterations to the Rates for the Con-
veyance, Delivery, and Storage of Goods, Parcels,
&c., on the New Zealand Railways.

IN accordance with section 18 of "The Public
Works Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," the
following alteration and concession is made in the
scale of fares of passengers on the New Zealand
Railways:—

Single tickets issued from all stations between
Invercargill and Riverton to Riverton on the 6th
August, 1879, will be available for return on the
following day.

OFFICIATING MINISTERS FOR 1879.-NOTICE No. 12.

PURSUANT to the provisions of an Act of the
General Assembly of New Zealand, passed in
the eighteenth year of the reign of Her Majesty
Queen Victoria, and intituled "The Marriage Act,
1854," the following names of Officiating Ministers
within the meaning of the said Act are published for
general information :—

Church of the Province of New Zealand, commonly
called the Church of England.

The Reverend Henry Samuel Davies.
The Reverend John Henry Hawkes.

Wesleyan Methodist Society.

NOTICE.—His Honor the Chief Justice has, this
day of July, 1879, appointed CYRIL
HAMILTON HUNTER IRVINE, of Levuka, Registrar of
the Supreme Court of Fiji, to be a Commissioner of
this colony for taking any
oath, affidavit, or affirmation, and for taking the
acknowledgements of married women, under the
second and fourth sections respectively of "The
Commissioners of the Supreme Court Act, 1875."
