lying to the westward of the Opihi River and a line
bearing about 290ยฐ (true) drawn from the confluence
of that river with the stream separating Runs
Nos. 357 and 380 to the north-east corner of the
block of forty thousand acres withdrawn from sale,
and notified in the New Zealand Gazette No. 110,
of 1878.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this thirty-first day of Decem-
ber, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-eight.

Land temporarily reserved in the Provincial District
of Wellington.

NORMANBY, Governor.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which, in his opinion, are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act,
do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in
the Provincial District of Wellington described in
the Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in
the said Schedule specified.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Township of Wai-
totara (Extension), in the Provincial District of
Wellington, containing one (1) acre and thirty-two
(32) perches, more or less, being Sections numbered
one hundred and seventy (170), one hundred and
seventy-one (171), one hundred and seventy-five
(175), and one hundred and seventy-six (176).
Bounded towards the North by Rural Section
number 297, Block twelve (XII.), of the Wairoa
District, 434\u00b74 links; towards the East by Wye
Street, 257\u00b76 links; towards the South by Sections
174 and 169, 496\u00b74 links; and towards the West by
Trent Street, 250 links. As a site for a school.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this third day of January,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
nine.

Township of Bunnythorpe, in the Manawatu District.
Bounded towards the North-east by the line of rail-
way, 1250 links; towards the South-east by Section
No. 574, 2598 links; towards the South-west by
Section No. 578, 1250 links; and towards the North-
west by Section No. 576, 3589 links: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less. As an endowment,
for secondary education.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this third day of January,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
nine.

hundred (200) links; towards the South by Section
one hundred and sixty-one (161), one hundred and
twenty-five (125) links; and towards the West by
Section one hundred and sixty (160), two hundred
(200) links. As a police station.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this third day of January,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
nine.
