MALVERN WATER-RACE.

NOTICE UNDER SECTION 22 OF "THE PUBLIC WORKS
ACT, 1876," OF LANDS REQUIRED TO BE TAKEN FOR
THE EXTENSION OF THE SAID WATER-RACE.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the
provisions "The Malvern Water-race Trans-
fer Act, 1878," the Council of the County of Selwyn
intend to proceed with the extension of the Malvern
Water-race, and that, for the purpose of such exten-
sion, the lands mentioned in the annexed Schedule,
or some part thereof, will be required to be taken,
according to the line thereof as laid out and shown
on the plan.

And notice is also hereby given that a copy of the
said plan, showing generally the nature of the works
proposed to be executed and the lands required to be
taken for the same, together with the names of the
owners and occupiers of such lands, as far as they
can be ascertained, have been deposited in the office
of the Road Board of the East Malvern District,
situated at Malvern, in the said road district; and
that such plan and description are now open for
inspection at the office of the said Road Board.

And all persons having any estate or interest in
the lands or any of them, or any part thereof, or who
shall or may be affected by the execution of the said
work, are hereby required to set forth in writing any
well-founded objection to the execution of such work
or to the taking of such lands, and to send such
writing, within forty days from the first publication
of this notice, to the said Council of the County of
Selwyn.

NAPIER SWAMP NUISANCE ACTS.

To the Hon. John Johnston, M.L.C., Wellington,
or other Owner of Town Section No. 358 of the
Borough of Napier.

N OTICE is hereby given, under and by virtue of
"The Napier Swamp Nuisance Act, 1875," and
"The Napier Swamp Nuisance Act Continuance Act,
1877," that, unless the sum of four hundred and
twenty pounds eighteen shillings and eightpence
(£420 18s. 8d.), being the actual cost of filling in
and reclaiming your land, being Town Section No.
358 on the plan of the Town of Napier, situate in
the Napier Town Swamp, together with interest on
the said sum from the day of the date hereof, at the
rate of six pounds per centum per annum, be paid
to the said Corporation on or before the 3rd day
of October, 1879, the said land will, under and by
virtue of the provisions of the said Acts, be sold to
dfray the cost of such filling in and reclamation
as aforesaid, and interest as aforesaid.
