PATENT FOR AN INVENTION FOR REAPING A
STANDING CROP, MAKING BANDS OF THE CROP,
AND THEREWITH TYING THE CROP (WHEN CUT)
INTO SHEAVES.

THIS is to notify that HORATIO BUNTING, of
Christchurch, New Zealand, Nurseryman, did,
on this second day of April instant, deposit at the
office of the Patent Officer, in the Colonial Secre-
tary’s Office, Wellington, a specification or instrument
in writing, under his hand and seal, particularly
describing and ascertaining the nature of the said
Invention, and in what manner the same is to be
performed; and that by reason of such deposit the
said Invention is protected and secured to him ex-
clusively for the term of six calendar months thence
next ensuing.

And I do further notify that the said Horatio
Bunting has given notice in writing at my office of
his intention to proceed with his application for
Letters Patent for the said Invention, and that I
have appointed Friday, the eighth day of August
next, at ten o’clock in the forenoon, at my office, to
hear and consider the said application and all
objections thereto; and I do hereby require all per-
sons having an interest in opposing the grant of such
Letters Patent to leave, on or before the fourth day
of August next, at my office in Wellington, par-
ticulars in writing of their objections to the said
application, otherwise they will be precluded from
urging the same.

NOTICE is hereby given that the several parcels
of land hereinafter described will be brought
under the provisions of “The Land Transfer Act,
1870,” unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same
on or before the 17th day of May next.

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given that ELIZABETH
O’KANE, of Mosgiel, Widow, claiming as
Administratrix in the estate of SAMUEL O’KANE,
late of Mosgiel, Hotelkeeper, deceased, has made
application to the District Land Registrar to be
registered as the Proprietress of an estate in fee-
simple of the following parcels of land, viz. : Sections
12 and 32, Block III., Sections 1 of 43, 2 of 43, 1 of
48, and 2 of 48, Block IV., and Sections 31, 32, and
1 of 34, Block V., on the plan of the Otakia District ;
and that she will be so registered unless caveat be
lodged at this office forbidding the same within one
calendar month from the date of gazetting this
notice.
