Lands declared to be Waste Lands of the Crown.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the seventeenth section of "The
Waste Lands Administration Act, 1876," it
is enacted that, whenever the Governor is satisfied
that any lands purchased out of the sums authorized
under "The Immigration and Public Works Act,
1870," and any Act amending the same, to be issued
and expended in the purchase of lands in the North
Island of New Zealand, are free from Native claims
and all difficulties in connection therewith, he shall,
by Proclamation, declare such lands to be waste
lands of the Crown, subject, except as thereafter in the
said Act provided, to be sold and dealt with according
to the provisions of the laws regulating the sale and
disposal of waste lands of the Crown for the time
being in force in the land district in which such land
is situated; and thereupon such land so proclaimed
shall become subject to such provisions:
And whereas the lands described in the Schedule
hereto have been purchased out of the sums authorized
under "The Immigration and Public Works Act,
1870," and Acts amending the same, and it is expe-
dient that the said lands should be declared to be
waste lands of the Crown:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Admin-
istrator of the Government of the Colony of New
Zealand, being satisfied that the lands described in
the Schedule hereto are free from Native claims and
all difficulties in connection therewith, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority vested in me
by "The Waste Lands Administration Act, 1876,"
do hereby proclaim and declare the said lands to be
waste lauds of the Crown, subject to be sold and
dealt with according to the provisions of the laws
regulating the sale and disposal of waste lands of the
Crown in force in the Land District of Auckland.
SCHEDULE.
RUAHINE No. 1.
All that piece of land at Ohinemuri, in the District
of Thames, in the Provincial District of Auckland,
known by the name of Te Ruahine No. 1, containing
by admeasurement 87 acres 1 rood 16 perches, more
or less. Bounded towards the North-east by the
Waihou River, 2830 links; towards the South-east
by the Ruahine No. 2 Block, 6420 links; towards the
South-west by Te Tautiti No. 1 Block, 1317 links;
and towards the North-west by the Kahamiroi Block
and the Ruahine Stream, 5327 links.
AHIKOPE No. 1.
All that piece of land at Ohinemuri, in the District
of Thames, in the Provincial District of Auckland,
known by the name of Ahikope No. 1, containing by
admeasurement 282 acres, more or less. Bounded
towards the East by the Waihou River and the
Ahikope No. 2 Block, 5880 links; towards the South-
east by Te Nihinihi Block, 4510 links; towards the
South-west by the Totarapapa Block, 7370 links;
and towards the North-west by the Ruahine No. 2
Block, 6280 links.
WHAREKAHU.
All that piece of land at Waihou, in the District of
Thames, in the Provincial District of Auckland,
known by the name of Wharekahu, containing by
admeasurement 259 acres, more or less. Bounded
towards the North-east by lines, 8038 links; towards
the South-east by the Kahamiroi Block, 4030 links;
towards the South-west by Te Tautiti No. 1 Block,
7188 links; and towards the North-west by the last-
named block, 4259 links.
TOTARAPAPA.
All that piece of land at Waihou, in the District
of Thames, in the Provincial District of Auckland,
known by the name of Totarapapa, containing by ad-
measurement 126 acres 1 rood and 8 perches, more
or less. Bounded towards the North-east by the
Ahikope No. 1 Block, 7370 links; towards the South-
east by Te Nihinihi Block, 3863 links; and towards
the West by Te Tautiti No. 1 Block, 9716 links.
ONETAI No. 1.
All that piece of land near Shortland, in the Dis-
trict of Hauraki, in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, known by the name of Onetai No. 1, containing
by admeasurement 1,137 acres 2 roods, more or less.
Bounded towards the North by lines 2720 links, 779
links, and 1404 links, and by a line and the Whanga-
mata No. 1 Block, 1510 links, and by the said block
1981 links, 1234 links, 1605 links, and 4960 links;
towards the East by lines 3383 links and 1893 links;
towards the South-east by the Hikutaia No. 1 Block,
12975 links; and towards the West by the Onetai
No. 2 Block, 5298 links and 6139 links.
OMAHU WEST.
All that piece of land near Shortland, in the Dis-
trict of Hauraki, in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, known by the name of Omahu West, containing
by admeasurement 1,157 acres, more or less. Bounded
towards the North-east by the Tairua River; towards
the South-east by the Whangamata No. 1 Block,
3520 links, 1180 links, 372 links, 452 links, 2434
links, 2172 links, 423 links, 2040 links, 327 links, 811
links, 186 links, 1058 links, 1237 links, 400 links,
490 links, and 720 links; towards the East by the
