THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
No. 3 DEPASTURING DISTRICT.
All that area in the County of Lake adjoining Run No. 29,
and bounded as follows:-Commencing at junction of Deep
Creek with the Shotover River; thence Northerly along Shot-
over River to Maori Point; thence in a line due East for half
a mile; thence a line half a mile back and parallel to the
Shotover River to Deep Creek; thence Westerly along Deep
Creek to the starting point. Estimated area, 950 acres.
No. 4 DEPASTURING DISTRICT.
All that area in the County of Lake adjoining Run No. 13,
and bounded as follows:-Commencing at the junction of
Stoney Creek with the Lower Shotover River; thence Westerly
along Stoney Creek for one mile; thence North-westerly a mile
back and parallel to the Shotover River to Skipper's Creek;
thence South-westerly along Skipper's Creek to the Shotover
River; thence along said river to the starting point. Estimated
area, 1,600 acres.
No. 5 DEPASTURING DISTRICT.
All that area in the said County of Lake, and bounded as
follows:-Commencing at the junction of Skipper's and Old
Man Creeks; thence North-easterly along Old Man Creek a
distance of 50 chains; thence Westerly by a line half a mile
back, and parallel to Skipper's Creek, to creek locally known as
Murdock's Creek; thence Southerly along Murdock's Creek to
Skipper's Creek; thence Easterly along Skipper's Creek to the
starting point. Estimated area, 500 acres.
No. 6 DEPASTURING DISTRICT.
All that area in the said County of Lake adjoining Run No.
31, and bounded as follows:---Commencing at the junction of
Rapid Creek with the Shotover River; thence Northerly along
said race to the Shielburn; thence North-easterly along the
Shielburn to Run No. 22; thence due East along Run No 22 to
the Polnoonburn; thence South-westerly along the Polnoon-
burn to a point a mile east from the Shotover River; thence in
a line a mile back and parallel to said river to the Rapid Creek;
thence Westerly along Rapid Creek to the starting point.
Estimated area, 5,501 acres.
No. 7 DEPASTURING DISTRICT.
All that area in the said County of Lake adjoining Run No.
29, and bounded as follows:-Commencing at the junction of
Coronet Creek with the Arrow River; thence Westerly along
said creek a mile back from Arrow River; thence by a line
parallel and a mile back from the Arrow River to Richburn;
thence Easterly along the Richburn to Arrow River; thence
along said river to the starting point. Estimated area, 1,200
acres.
No. 8 DEPASTURING DISTRICT.
All that area in the said County of Lake situated at German
Hill, near Arrowtown, containing about 600 acres, and bounded
as follows:-Commencing at the junction of First Creek with
Bush Creek; thence North-easterly along First Creek to old
track to Macetown; thence along said track to Swipers' Gully;
thence South-easterly along said gully to Arrow River; thence
Southerly along Arrow River to Bush Creek; thence Westerly
along Bush Creek to the starting point.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-
RACE.
Tuapeka, 27th December, 1878.
To the Warden at Lawrence.
WE hereby give notice that we intend to construct
a water-race to divert and use water for mining
purposes, commencing at a point about three-quarters
of a mile above McCluskey's farm, on the south-east
bank of the Wetherstones Creek, and terminating on
Section 25, Block XIX., Tuapeka East.
The length of such race is six miles or thereabouts,
and its intended course is north-west.
The mean depth of such race is two feet, and the
mean breadth is three feet, and it is proposed to
divert three Government heads of water.
Applicants: The Wetherstones Gold-mining Com-
pany (Limited).
Date and number of Miner's Right: 25th October,
1878; 3218.
Any person objecting to the granting of this appli-
cation must lodge his objection in writing at the
Warden's Office at Lawrence, within fourteen clear
days from the date hereof. Hearing at 11 o'clock
on the 31st March, 1879.

In the matter of "The Debtors and Creditors Act,
1876."
NOTICE is hereby given that THOMAS SCOTT
and RICHARD BECKFORD SCOTT, of
Taranaki Place, in the City of Wellington, Timber
Merchants, in order to an arrangement with their
creditors under the said Act, have this day filed an
assignment of their property to James Samuel
Jamieson, of Christchurch, in the Colony of New
Zealand, Merchant, and George Thomas, of Welling-
ton aforesaid, Auctioneer, in trust, for distribution
among the creditors of the assignors; and a meeting
of the creditors of the said Thomas Scott and
Richard Beckford Scott is hereby convened, for the
purpose of assenting to the deed, to be held at my
Chambers, Insurance Buildings, Lambton Quay,
Wellington, on Saturday, the fifth day of April now
next, at half-past two o'clock in the afternoon.
