Potatoes.

For distances of—
Not more than 20 miles ... 2¼d. per ton per mile.
More than 20 miles and not more than 50 miles ... 1½d. ” ”

Minimum quantity, 5 tons. Consignments of from 2 to 5 tons will be charged as
such minimum, or as Class E. Under 2 tons as minimum of Class E, or as Class D.
Terminal charges same as in Class A.

Class F.—Hay, Straw, Chaff, and Grain Husks.

For distances of—
Not more than 5 miles ... 1s. 3d. per truck per mile.
More than 5 miles and not more than 50 miles ... 7d. ” ”
” 50 ” ” 6d. ” ”
Minimum charge, 6s. per truck.
All loading and unloading must be done by the owner. For each loading or un-
loading done by the Department 1s. 6d. per truck will be charged.
Quantities under a truck load will be charged as a truck, or as Class B : pressed,
at single rates; unpressed, double rates.

Class G—Fascines, Tussock Grass, Green Flax, Sea Weed.

Rate per truck per mile, 1s. for all distances.
Minimum charge, 7s. per truck. Small lots of less than one truck load will be
charged as a truck, or as Class D.
This class will be carried solely at the risk of the owner, who must load and
unload.
For each loading or unloading done by the Railway Department 5s. per truck
will be charged.

Class H—Wool.

For distances of—
Not more than 50 miles
More than 50 and not more than 100 miles

For undumped bales of more than 4 cwt., and double-dumped bales of more than
8 cwt., ¼d. per bale per mile is to be added to the above rates.
All loading and unloading must be done by the owner.
For each loading or unloading done by the Railway Department 3d. per bale for
undumped, and 6d. per bale for double-dumped, will be charged.

Class K.—Timber.
Sawn Timber, Squared Logs, and Mouldings.

For distances of—
Not more than 30 miles ... ¾d. per 100 superficial feet per mile.
More than 30 ” ... ⅝d. ” ” ”
Minimum charge, 7d. per 100 superficial feet.
Minimum quantity, 500 superficial feet for each truck used in carrying the
timber.
Any less quantity which can be carried in one truck will be charged as such
minimum, or at double rates actual measurement; where double rates are charged
the minimum quantity will be 100 feet; the minimum charge 1s. 2d., without
further charge for loading or unloading.
Mouldings will be carried solely at owners' risk.
In computing the charges for timber, 25 feet or under in excess of any multiple
of 100 are to be foregone; over 25 feet to be charged as the next hundred.
Australian timbers will be charged at a rate and a half.
Round timber, string measurement; no allowance for bark, tops, butt, or unsound
wood.
All sawn timber from half-inch to one inch will be taken as inch stuff in computing
the measurement.
Half-inch and under will be taken as half the amount of inch stuff.
One hundred palings, or one thousand shingles, as 100 feet timber.
All loading and unloading must be done by the owner.
For each loading or unloading done by the Railway, 3d. per 100 feet additional
will be charged.

Class L—Posts and Rails, Firewood, Split House Blocks.

For distances of—
Not more than 25 miles ... 10d. per truck per mile.
More than 25 miles ... 7½d. ” ”
Minimum charge, 6s. per truck; every truck used in conveying one consignment
will be charged for as a full truck.
Goods of this class will be carried only at the owners' sole risk and responsibility,
who must do all loading and unloading. For each loading or unloading done by the
Department, 5s. per truck will be charged. Small lots will be charged as a truck,
or as Class D.
A truck of firewood must not exceed 3 cords.

Class M.—Live Stock.
Cattle, in Truck-loads.

For distances of—
Not more than 10 miles ... 1s. 6d. per truck per mile.
More than 10 miles and not more than 50 miles ... 5d. ” ”
” 50 ” ” 100 ” ... 4d. ” ”
” 100 ” ” ... 3d. ” ”
Minimum charge, 15s. per truck.
