THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Sheep, Pigs, Goats, and Calves, in Truck-loads.
For distances of—

Minimum charge, 10s. per truck.
No more animals are to be put into a truck than it will conveniently hold.
One drover with every four trucks of cattle, sheep, &c., of the same consignment,
may travel free.

Cattle, Calves, Sheep, Goats, and Pigs, in small lots,
Will be charged as a truck-load, or at the following rates :—

sibility and risk.

Class N.—Minerals.
For distances of—

Minimum quantity, 4 tons. Any less quantity will be charged as such minimum
or as Class D.

All loading and unloading must be done by the owner. For each loading or un-
loading done by the Railway Department 1s. per ton will be charged.

Coal Dross, and Native Coal and Fireclay.

Trucks will be allowed to remain at coal pits eight working hours for the
purpose of loading, after which demurrage will be charged at the rate of £1 per day
or part of a day.
Any time from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. counted as working hours.
Any person or company using, by the authority of the Railway Department, their
own trucks, will be allowed a rebate on the above charges of 1d. per truck per mile.

Class O.—Road Materials.
Road metal, stone to be converted into road metal, sand, earth, gravel, and
shingle, required for the construction and maintenance of public streets and roads,
will be charged at 1d. per ton per mile; minimum charge, 1s. per ton. Every truck
used in carrying one consignment will be charged as a full truck.

Class P.
Carts, Drays, and Wagons.
For any distance of not more than 10 miles . . . . . . . . . . . 1s. per mile.

Class R.—Empties.
For any distance of not more than 50 miles . . . . . . . . . . . 6d. per cwt.
For each 50 miles or part of 50 miles beyond the first 50 . . . 3d. "
Minimum, 1 cwt.
Empties must be certified by consignors to have passed over the line full.
Carriage must be prepaid unless there be an arrangement with the consignee to
the contrary.

Miscellaneous.
WEIGHING.
Wool, 4d. per bale.
Grain, $\frac{1}{2}$d. per bag.
Potatoes, &c., $\frac{1}{2}$d. per cwt.
Minerals, Class N, 1s. per truck-load.
