Form of Tenders.
WITH reference to the advertisement in the Fort St. George
Gazette No. 46, dated 12th November, 1878, the undersigned
tenders for the following supplies upon and subject to the
terms, conditions, and stipulations of the said advertisement :-

agree to be bound to carry out this tender, if intima-
tion of acceptance is put in course of transmission to

later than fifteen days before the date the contract is to com-
mence, and
consider, notwithstanding the contract deed
may not be stamped or signed, that the tender is to be binding
as a contract, and
agree to be bound by it,
and the terms of it; and in case
withdraw from
tender after each notice or intimation is put in course of trans-
mission, it shall be lawful for the Executive Ordnance Officer
to appropriate, as liquidated damages,
earnest money
and
security deposit, or both, as the case may be.

PROCLAMATION.
By His Excellency Sir ARTHUR EDWARD KENNEDY,
Knight Commander of the Most
Distinguished Order of St. Michael

and St. George, Companion of
A. E. KENNEDY, the Most Honorable Order of
Governor. the Bath, Governor and Com-
mander-in-Chief of the Colony of
Queensland and its Dependencies.
WHEREAS by an Act of the Parliament of
Queensland, passed in the thirtieth year of
Her Majesty's reign, and numbered nineteen, in-
tituled "An Act to prevent the Introduction of Diseased
Animals into the Colony of Queensland, and to check
the Progress of Malignant Diseases in Animals," it is,
amongst other things, enacted that the Governor,
with the advice of the Executive Council, may from
time to time, by Proclamation, prohibit or put re-
strictions on the introduction or importation of cattle,
horses, sheep, goats, pigs, poultry, and other animals
into the Colony of Queensland, or into any district
thereof, from such places and during such time as
may appear necessary; and any such Proclamation
may revoke or alter by a similar Proclamation: And
whereas by a Proclamation bearing date the thirteenth
day of April, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
six, under the hand and seal of His Excellency
WILLIAM WELLINGTON CAIRNS, Esquire, the Governor
of the said colony, and made under the provisions of
the said recited Act, the introduction and importation
of cattle, sheep, and pigs into the Colony of Queens-
land from all places beyond the Australian Colonies
was absolutely prohibited: And whereas by another
Proclamation, bearing date the twenty-third day of
January, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight, under my hand and seal, and made under the
provisions of the said recited Act, so much of the said
first recited Proclamation as related to the importation
or introduction of pigs was revoked: And whereas it is
now deemed expedient to revoke the remainder of the
said first recited Proclamation, and to make other
provisions in lieu thereof: Now, therefore, I, the
Governor aforesaid, by and with the advice of the
Executive Council, and in pursuance and execution
of the powers and provisions of the said recited Act,
do, by this my Proclamation, revoke the said Procla-
mation of the thirteenth day of April, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-six.
Given under my hand and seal, at Government
House, Toowoomba, this thirteenth day
of December, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight, and in the forty-second year of Her
Majesty's reign.

on the introduction and importation of cattle, sheep,
and pigs from certain of the said last-mentioned
countries and places: Now, therefore, I, the Go-
vernor aforesaid, by and with the advice of the
Executive Council, in pursuance and execution of
the powers and provisions of the said recited Act,
do, by this my Proclamation, absolutely prohibit the
introduction or importation of any cattle, sheep, or
pigs into the Colony of Queensland from any place
except Great Britain, Ireland, the United States of
America, the Dominion of Canada, the Australian
Colonies, Tasmania, and New Zealand, until this my
Proclamation shall be revoked: And by and with
the advice aforesaid, and in further pursuance and
execution of the powers and provisions of the said
recited Act, I do hereby, by this my Proclamation,
prohibit the introduction or importation of any
cattle, sheep, or pigs into the Colony of Queensland,
from the said countries and places of Great Britain,
Ireland, the United States of America, and the
Dominion of Canada, except under and subject to
the conditions and restrictions hereinafter stated:
And I declare that cattle, sheep, and pigs may be
introduced or imported into the said colony from any
of the said last-mentioned countries or places, under
and subject to the conditions and restrictions of this
my Proclamation, which said conditions and restric-
tions are as follows, that is to say,-
- No cattle, sheep, or pigs shall be introduced
