I, JAMES PILLANS MAITLAND, a Commissioner duly appointed by virtue of the Ordinance No. 15,
Session XI., of the Legislative Council of the Islands of New Zealand, to hear and decide claims to
land by persons claiming title thereto from, through, or under the New Zealand Company, report that the
claim of the persons whose names appear in the Schedule hereunder, having been duly referred to me for
investigation, I do hereby decide that the said persons are entitled to the Crown grants set against their
names in the said Schedule.

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given that ROBERT STEN-
HOUSE, of Groper's Bush, near Riverton,
Farmer, claiming as Devisee under the Will of
RICHARD STENHOUSE, late of Groper's Bush afore-
said, Farmer, deceased, has made application to the
District Land Registrar for the District of Southland
to be registered Proprietor of a life estate in
Section 31, Block VIII., Jacobs River Hundred, being
the land comprised in a certificate of title entered in
Register-book, Vol. i., folio 19; and that the said 729
Robert Stenhouse will be so registered as such pro-
prietor, unless caveat forbidding the same be lodged
at this office within one calendar month from the date
of the gazetting of this notice.

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICE.

WHEREAS a declaration has been lodged with
me, made by THOMAS ROSE, the regis-
tered Proprietor of Sections numbered respectively
69 and 72, Block I., North Harbour and Blueskin
District, in the Provincial District of Otago, of the
loss of Crown grants of the said two sections, bear-
ing date respectively the 3rd day of April, 1877, and

the 18th day of June, 1877, and entered in the
Register-books, Vol. xxxi., folio 284, and Vol. xxxiii.,
folio 269, I hereby give notice that I intend to issue
provisional certificates of title to the said sections to
the said Thomas Rose, unless caveat be lodged at this
office forbidding same within fourteen days from
the date of the publication in the Gazette of this
notice.
