THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
public auction, at the upset prices specified in the
said Schedule, at the Survey Office, Blenheim, at
noon, on Tuesday, the 6th day of January, 1880.
One-fourth of the purchase-money must be paid
at the sale, and the remaining three-fourths within
one month, or the amount paid will be forfeited. A
deposit of £1 for the Crown grant of each section
must be paid on completion of the purchase.

Immediately after the auction of the above lands
a license under clause 149 of " The Land Act, 1877,"
to authorize the occupation of Section 39, District
of Pelorus Valley, containing 64 acres, will be
offered by public auction, at the upset annual rent
of £7 10s. The first year's rent to be paid at the
auction. All subsequent rent to be paid in advance
on the 2nd January in each year.

25th day of November, 1879.

Sale of Crown Lands.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned
allotments of Crown lands will be offered for
sale by public auction, at the Land Office, Hokitika,
on Wednesday, the 17th day of December, 1879, at
2 o'clock p.m. One-fourth of the purchase money
to be paid at the sale, and the remainder within one
month, or the deposit will be forfeited:-

TOWN OF DUNGANVILLE.
Section 56, 1 rood 11 perches; upset price,
£9 11s. 3d.
Section 76, 1 rood; upset price, £7 10s.
Section 114, 1 rood; upset price, £7 10s.

I, DAVID LEWIS, a Commissioner duly appointed
by virtue of the Ordinance No. 15, Session XI.,
of the Legislative Council of the Islands of New Zea-
land, to hear and decide claims to land by persons
claiming title thereto from, through, or under the
New Zealand Company, report that the claim of
GEORGE TANDY, of Wellington, mariner, having been
referred to me for investigation, I do hereby decide
that the said George Tandy is entitled to a Crown
grant of part of Section No. 160, in the City of
Wellington, subject to a direction of the Commis-

sioner; the legal estate to be antevested in the
grantee as from the 20th April, 1859.
Dated at Wellington, this 18th day of November,
1879
