provisions of the said section, and, in the opinion of
the Governor, it is expedient to reserve the same for
the purposes therein named:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, in
exercise and pursuance of the above recited power,
and by and with the consent of the Executive Coun-
cil of New Zealand, doth hereby order and direct
that the lands mentioned in the first column of the
said Schedule hereto shall be reserved, and doth
hereby declare and define the purposes of the said
reserve to be that specified in the second column of
the said Schedule, the same being the purposes
named in the twentieth section of the said Act.

All that parcel of land in the Survey
District of Kawatiri, Provincial District
of Nelson, being part of the Buller Coal
Field Reserve, containing by admeasure-
ment fifteen acres two roods twenty-five
perches, be the same more or less, the
boundaries whereof are as follow: Com-
mencing at a point on the western boun-
dary of Buller Coal Reserve, 36341 links
north easterly from the westernmost
corner of said reserve. Bounded
Generally Southerly and Westerly by
lines, 291, 597, 3013, 315, 315, 65, 360,
350, 1113, 480, 647, 265, and 260
links respectively; South-easterly by a
line, 200 links; generally Easterly and
Northerly by lines to a point on the
western boundary line of the Buller Coal
Reserve, 220, 240, 647, 406, 1113, 450,
450, 65, 372, 372, 3013, and 682
links respectively; Northwesterly by
the boundary line aforesaid to com-
mencing point, 330 links: be the afore-
said measurements more or less; as the
same is more particularly delineated upon
the plan marked P.W.D. 7409, deposited
in the office of the Minister for Public
Works at Wellington, in the Provincial
District of Wellington.

Land temporarily reserved in the Provincial District
of Nelson.

HERCULES ROBINSON, Governor.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which, in his opinion, are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby
temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Pro-
vincial District of Nelson described in the first
column of the Schedule hereunder written, for the
purpose specified in the second column of the said
Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Nelson, containing by admeasurement 107 acres,
more or less, being Section No. 17, Square 139.
Bounded on the North, 2945 links, by Section 16;
on the East, 3130 links, by Crown land; on the South,
3379 links, by Crown land; and on the West, 2132
links and 1446 links, by Crown land for a reservoir
and water-race for the Town of Lyell.

All that parcel of land in the Survey Dis-
trict of Kawatiri, Provincial District of
Nelson, containing by admeasurement 2
acres 1 rood, be the same more or less,
the boundaries whereof are as follow:
Commencing at a point on the western
boundary Buller Coal Reserve, 36341 links
north-easterly from the westernmost corner
of said reserve. Bounded Southerly
by lines, 590 and 350 links respectively;
Westerly by a line, 180 links; North-
westerly by a line, 200 links; Northerly
by lines, 230 and 881 links respectively,
to a point on the aforesaid boundary
of Buller Coal Reserve; South-easterly
by said boundary to commencing point,
330 links: be all the aforesaid measure-
ments more or less; as the same is
more particularly delineated upon the
plan marked P.W.D. 7409, deposited in
the office of the Minister for Public Works
at Wellington, in the Provincial District of
Wellington.
