I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by "The Public Health Act, 1876," I, Hercules
George Robert Robinson, the Governor of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the place mentioned
in the second column of the Schedule hereto as and to be the place at which the Public Vaccinator
appointed for the district mentioned in the first column of the said Schedule shall attend for the
performance of vaccination, as required by the said Act; and I do hereby give notice that such
Public Vaccinator will attend at the place aforesaid, for the purpose of performing such vaccina-
tion, on the day and at the hour set forth in the third column of the said Schedule opposite
the name of such place; and further that, at such place as last aforesaid, the Public Vaccinator
will attend for the purpose of inspecting the progress of such vaccination in the persons so vaccinated on
the day and at the hour respectively set forth in the fourth column of the said Schedule opposite the
name of such place.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this first day of December, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine.

Rules and Regulations of Masterton Cemetery,
County of Wairarapa West.

T HE following rules and regulations of the Master-
ton Cemetery, County of Wairarapa West,
have been submitted to His Excellency the Governor
in Council, and are published in accordance with
"The Cemeteries Management Act, 1877,"

RULES AND REGULATIONS OF MASTERTON CEMETERY.

AT a meeting of the Masterton Cemetery Trustees,
held on the 31st October, 1879, the following rules
and regulations for the management of the cemetery
were approved:----

  1. The portion of land set apart as a cemetery, by
    the Governor's order of the 15th February, 1878,
    shall be divided into allotments, and be available for
    interment for denominations as follows: (1) Epis-
    copalians, (2) Roman Catholics, (3) Wesleyans, (4)
    Presbyterians, (5) strangers and other denomina-
    tions.

  2. The scale of fees payable for interment shall be
    as follows:---

For ground occupied as an ordinary grave ... 0 10 0
For digging grave and filling in same after burial;
depth, 5 feet ... 0 10 0
Every extra foot ... 0 2 0
For permission to erect a gravestone or cross to
ordinary grave ... 1 0 0
For the purchase of the exclusive right of interment
in perpetuity, or for a limited period, with permis-
sion to dig, make, or erect brick grave, vault, or
paling fence, subject to the approval of the
Trustees; space, 9 feet by 9 feet ... 5 0 0
Ditto, for space not less than 9 feet by 9 feet ... 2 5 0
Every additional foot ... 0 15 0

  1. No brick grave, vault, paling fence, cross,
    tombstone, or other monument, shall be dug, made,
    or erected, until permission of the Trustees is first
    had and all fees paid.

  2. A drawing of every stone, tomb, pedestal, and
    plan of every fence, monument, or tablet proposed to
    be erected, and a copy of every epitaph or inscrip-
    tion, must be submitted to the Trustees for approval.

  3. Any purchaser of private ground, in which no
    interment has taken place, may transfer his or her
    interest in said ground to any other person of the
    same denomination upon payment being made to the
    Treasurer of the cemetery for the time being of a
    fee of 5s. for such transfer.

  4. No grave shall, under any circumstances, be
    opened for any new interment sooner than after the
    expiry of seven years from the time of the first or
    last interment, as the case may be.

  5. All monuments, graves, gravestones, and paling
    fences must be kept in proper order and condition
    by and at the expense of the owner.

  6. The Treasurer to the cemetery for the time
    being shall keep a book, in which he shall enter from
    time to time the number of every lot sold, the name
    of the purchaser, and the date of sale. He shall
    keep a record of the burials in the cemetery.

  7. The Trustees to the cemetery for the time being
    shall receive the purchase-money for the sale of such
    lots, and shall give the following receipt for the
    same:----

being numbered on the plan of said cemetery in the custody of
the Trustees, to be held by the said A.B. for the purpose of
burial only, and subject to the rules and regulations then in
force for the management of said cemetery.

  1. All applications for interment shall be made to
    the custodian in charge at least twenty-four hours
    before the hour of burial.

  2. No horse or vehicle shall be allowed within the
    boundaries of the cemetery.

  3. The custodian will prevent the entrance of any
    vehicle, and will turn out or impound any horse,
    cattle, sheep, or swine that may be found trespassing
    in the cemetery. No dogs will be suffered therein.

  4. No one but the person authorized by the
    Trustees, being the custodian for the time being, will
    be permitted to dig graves in the cemetery.

  5. The record-book shall be open for the inspec-
    tion of the public, on paying a fee of 1s. 6d. for each
    inspection. For a copy of register, 1s.; reopening
    grave or vault, 20s.

  6. A statement of all receipts and disbursements
    for each year, ending 31st December, shall be sub-
    mitted by the Treasurer in the month of January to
    a meeting of the Trustees, when an Auditor shall be
    chosen to audit the same.

  7. The Secretary to the Trustees for the time
    being shall be empowered to convene all necessary
