Land temporarily reserved in the Provincial District
of Nelson.

HERCULES ROBINSON, Governor.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which, in his opinion, are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby
temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Provin-
cial District of Nelson described in the Schedule
hereunder written, for the purpose in the said
Schedule specified.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement
five acres, more or less, being part of Section 128,
Square 159, on the plan of the Land District of Nelson.
Bounded on the North by a public road, 800 links;
on the East by a public road, 625 links; on the South
by a line, 800 links; and on the West by a line, 625
links. As a site for a cemetery.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this twenty-seventh day of
October, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-nine.

Lots 31 to 36 inclusive; North-westward by Lots 19
and 20; and North-eastward and South-westward by
road lines: and numbered 2442 (in red) on the
official map in the Survey Office, Christchurch. For
purposes of recreation.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this twenty-seventh day of
October, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-nine.

parallel to and 16 chains distant from the eastern
boundary of Reserve 1907 (in red), 10 chains; North-
ward by the Tramway Reserve, 10 chains; and East-
ward and Southward respectively by Crown lands, 10
chains: and numbered 2429 (in red) on the official
map in the Survey Office, Christchurch. For a
quarry.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this twenty-seventh day of
October, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-nine.

ALL that piece or parcel of land in the Southland
Division of the Provincial District of Otago, contain-
ing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being
Sections 1, 2, 21, and 22, Block XLI., Town of Inver-
cargill. Bounded on the North by Tweed Street,
200 links; on the East by Sections 3 and 20 of afore-
said block, 500 links; on the South by Teviot Street,
200 links; and on the West by Conon Street, 500
links. For a site for a police station.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this twenty-seventh day of
October, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-nine.
