SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Auckland, containing by admeasurement ninety-
three (93) acres, more or less, situated in the Parish
of Waimana, and within Block II., Whakatane
Survey District, known as the Military Township of
Whakatane. Bounded towards the North by a road,
one hundred (100) links wide, forming the southern
boundary of Rural Sections 268, 267, 269, 270, and
271, of the Parish of Waimana; towards the East by a
road of width aforesaid; towards the South by a road,
one hundred (100) links wide, forming the northern
boundary of Rural Section No. 261 of the aforesaid
Parish of Waimana; and towards the West by a road
and line, forming the eastern boundary of Rural
Sections Nos. 4 and 5, of the Parish of Waimana
aforesaid.

the Counties of Waikouaiti and Waitaki, to be a
Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-third day of July, 1878.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the eighty-ninth
section of "The Public Works Act, 1876," I, George
Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
declare the road described in the Schedule hereto
to be a Government road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Otago, being a road line, one (1) chain in width,
in the Moeraki Survey District. Bounded towards
the North by a road line; towards the East by the
ocean; towards the South by a Coal Reserve; and
towards the West by Sections numbered 58, 2 of 20,
and 1 of 20, Block III., of the said district; also by
Sections Nos. 45 and 42, of Block IX.

Warrant ordering and directing Times, Places, Man-
ner, and Form Votes are to be taken in the Railway
District, Rakaia and Ashburton Forks Railway.
NORMANBY, Governor.
WHEREAS by "The District Railways Act, 1877,"
it is, amongst other things, enacted that the
Governor may from time to time, by warrant duly
gazetted, order and direct at what times, places, and
in what manner and form the ratepayers and owners
of property shall vote within a proposed railway
district: And whereas the Rakaia and Ashburton
Forks Railway Company (Limited) propose to con-
struct within the Provincial District of Canterbury
a railway under the said Act, and it is necessary to
order and direct the times and places, and the manner
and form of taking the votes of the ratepayers and
owners in the railway district proposed to be con-
stituted by the said Company:
Now know ye that I, George Augustus Constan-
tine, Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of New
Zealand, in pursuance of the power and authority
in me vested by the said Act, do hereby order and
direct that, on the thirteenth day of August next,
the votes of the ratepayers and owners of property
within the railway district proposed by the said
Company shall be taken at the several places speci-
fied in the Schedule hereto, in the manner and form
prescribed by the regulations set forth in a warrant
dated the eleventh day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-eight, and published in the
New Zealand Gazette of the eleventh day of July, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight.
SCHEDULE.
In the South Rakaia Road District: The Road Board
Office, South Rakaia, and the Post Office, Methven.
In the Upper Ashburton Road District: The Wool-
shed on Mr. G. Hart's Run.
In the Mount Somers Road District: The Wool-
shed on Mr. Tooth's Run.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl
of Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and
Baron Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the
County of York, in the Peerage of the
United Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave
of New Ross, in the County of Wexford,
in the Peerage of Ireland; a Member of
Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy
Council; Knight Grand Cross of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George; Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-fifth day of July, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-eight.

authorities vested in me by the regulations made
under "The District Railways Act, 1877," by warrant
dated the eleventh day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-eight, published in the Gazette
No. 68, I, George Augustus Constantine, Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
EDWARD JAMES LEE,
of Southbridge, Esquire, to be Revising Officer for
the railway district within which the Rakaia and
Ashburton Forks Railway Company (Limited) pro-
pose to construct a railway under the said Act, and
to constitute a railway district.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
