WATER-RACE.
To the Mining Registrar at Charleston of the
Charleston Mining District, and all other persons
whom it may concern.
TAKE notice that we intend to construct a Water-
race and divert water for mining purposes, from
a point at Totara River, about six miles from Cronin-
ville Flat, and terminating at our claim in Croninville.
The length of the race is about six miles, and its
intended course is north-east and south-west.
Depth of race, 3 feet; breadth, 4 feet; number of
Government heads, twenty.
Time required for construction, six months.
Dated at Charleston, this 28th day of May, 1878.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership
hitherto subsisting between the undersigned,
WILLIAM WARRAND CARLILE, PETER DINWIDDIE, and
THOMAS MORRISON, as Stationers, Newspaper Pro-
prietors, Printers, and Publishers, at Napier, in the
Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, in the Colony
of New Zealand, under the style or firm of "Din-
widdie, Morrison, and Co.," has this day, by mutual
consent, been dissolved so far as regards the said
William Warrand Carlile.
The business will in future be carried on under the
style or firm of "Dinwiddie, Morrsion, and Co.," by
the said Peter Dinwiddie and Thomas Morrison
alone, to whom all moneys and debts due to the late
firm must be paid, and by whom all liabilities of the
said firm will be discharged.
Dated this first day of June, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-eight.

I, the undersigned, hereby make application to
register the Macetown Quartz-Crushing Com-
pany as a Limited Company, under the provisions of
"The Mining Company's Act, 1872."

The name of the Company is to be the Macetown Quartz-
Crushing Company (Limited). -
The place of operations is at Macetown, in Lake County.

The registered office of the Company will be situated at
Buckingham Street, Arrowtown. -
The nominal capital of the Company is two thousand five
hundred pounds, in five hundred shares of five pounds each. -
The number of shares subscribed for is four hundred and
sixty-three, being not less than two-thirds of the entire number
in the Company. -
The number of paid-up shares is one hundred.

The amount already paid up is one hundred and eighty-
one pounds ten shillings. -
The name of the Manager is John Orson McArdell.
