NOTICE OF INTENTION TO USE A DAM BANK.
To the Warden at Switzer's, also to the Mining
Registrar at Switzer's of the Otago Gold Fields
Mining District, and to all other persons whom it
may concern.

22nd April, 1878.
I HEREBY give notice that I intend to use a dam
bank already constructed and form a reservoir
for the storage of water at Winding Creek, and that
the following are the particulars respecting such dam
and reservoir:-
Locality, Stoney Creek; length of dam, 300 yards;
greatest height, 10 feet; greatest breadth of base,
20 feet; time estimated for construction, three
months.

Any person objecting to the granting of this appli-
cation must lodge his objection in writing at the
Warden's Office, at Switzer's, within fourteen clear
days from the date hereof.
Hearing at 11 o'clock, on the 9th day of July,
1878.
and terminating at my crushing machine or battery.
The length of such race is 150 yards or there-
abouts, and its intended course is north and south.
The mean depth and breadth of such race is 3 feet
by 1 foot, and it is proposed to divert ten Govern-
ment heads of water.
The time estimated for the construction and com-
pletion of such race is seven days; the race being
already partly constructed.

DISSOLUTION NOTICE.
N OTICE is hereby given that the business lately
carried on by the Honorable JOHN JOHNSTON
and CHARLES JOHN JOHNSTON, at Wellington, under
the style of "Johnston and Company," has been
dissolved by mutual consent; and that the business
of the firm will in future be carried on under the
same style by WALTER WOODS JOHNSTON and the
said CHARLES JOHN JOHNSTON, who will discharge all
the liabilities of the late firm, and will receive pay-
ment of all debts due to the late firm.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-
RACE.
Collingwood, 10th June, 1878.
To the Warden at Collingwood.
I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct
a Water-race to divert and use water for mining
purposes, commencing at a point at Greenwood
Creek, and terminating at Richmond Hill.
The length of such race is 60 chains or thereabouts,
and its intended course is north-east.
The mean depth of such race is 1 foot, and the
mean breadth is 1 foot 6 inches, and it is proposed
to divert - Government heads of water.

heretofore carried on by the undersigned as
Auctioneers, Stock, Station, and Commission Agents
in Invercargill, under the style or firm of "Martin,
Maitland, and Company," was this day dissolved by
mutual consent. All claims against the late firm are
requested to be sent to the offices, Esk Street, In-
vercargill, forthwith, and all amounts due are re-
quested to be paid at the said offices.

hitherto subsisting between us the undersigned
CHARLES STEWART, FRANCIS DYER RICH, and MACKAY
JOHN SCOBIE MACKENZIE, as Sheep Farmers, at
Kyeburn Station, in the Provincial District of Otago,
under the style of "Rich, Stewart, and Mackenzie,"
has been dissolved by mutual consent, as from the
29th day of May instant.
The business will in future be carried on by the
said Charles Stewart and Mackay John Scobie
Mackenzie, under the style of "Stewart and Mac-
kenzie," who will pay all debts owing by and are
authorized to receive all debts and moneys owing to
the late firm.
