WHEREAS WILLIAM JAMES CRAIG, of
Blenheim, Carpenter, has presented declara-
tions to me of the destruction by fire of a certain
Certificate of Title, dated the 10th September, 1875,
Register Book, Vol. I., folio 265, Land Registration,
District of Marlborough, evidencing the title of the
said William James Craig to a piece of land
situated in the District of Omaka, containing 38
perches, being part Allotment 7 on plan, inter alia, of
part Section 1 of said district, deposited in the Land
Registry Office, Blenheim, as No. 1: Take notice
that I will issue to the said William James Craig a
Provisional Certificate of Title of said land unless
a caveat be lodged forbidding the same within
fourteen days from the date of the Gazette contain-
ing this notice.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO USE A WATER-RACE.

To the Warden at Switzer's, also to the Mining
Registrar at Switzer's of the Otago Gold Fields
Mining District, and to all other persons whom it
may concern.

Otago Gold Fields, Switzer's,
17th April, 1878.

TAKE notice that it is intended to use a water-
race already constructed to divert water for
irrigation purposes, commencing at a point out of
Rob Roy Creek, about half a mile from the boundary
fence of Run No. 149, and terminating on the
Waikaia Plain, about five miles from its commence-
ment.

The length of such race is five miles or thereabouts,
and its intended course is east and west. The mean
depth of such race is 1 foot, and the mean breadth
is 1 foot 6 inches, and it is proposed to divert four
Government heads of water.
