And whereas the lands described in the Schedule
hereto are Crown lands subject to be dealt with
under the provisions of the said fifty-fourth section
of "The Mines Act, 1877," and it is deemed expedient
to set the same apart for the purpose of occupation
on deferred payments:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby select and set apart, for the
purpose of occupation on deferred payments, the
lands described in the Schedule hereto, and do fix the
sixteenth day of March next ensuing as the day on
which the said land shall be open for application in
allotments, as surveyed and marked on the survey
map in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Invercargill.

do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in
the Provincial District of Westland, described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the
the said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Westland, containing by admeasurement twelve (12)
acres two (2) roods and twenty-eight (28) poles, more
or less, being Reserve numbered one hundred and
eighty (180) (in red) on the map of the Kanieri
Survey District, and bounded as follows: Extending
from the south bank of Duck Creek in a south-
easterly direction a distance of two hundred and forty
(240) chains fifty-seven (57) links to peg marked
EBL in Rural Section No. 2014, and of a width of
fifty (50) links; together with a parcel of land two
(2) chains square at each end of the above-described
land. For a base-line for survey purposes.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this eighteenth day of February,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-
fourth section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is
enacted that the Governor may from time to time,
either by general or particular description, and
whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve
from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same
may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown
lands which in his opinion are required for any of
the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act,
do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in
the Provincial District of Auckland, described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the
said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, containing by admeasurement fifteen (15)
poles, more or less, and being Allotment numbered
six hundred (600) of the Town of Cambridge East.
Bounded towards the North-east by a street, seventy
(70) links; towards the South-east by Allotment
No. 601, one hundred and twenty-nine (129) links;
towards the South-west by Allotments Nos. 606 and
607, seventy-one (71) links; and towards the North-
west by Allotment No. 47, one hundred and forty-two
(142) links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
As a site for a library.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, containing by admeasurement twenty-eight
(28) poles, more or less, and being Allotment num-
bered five hundred and seventy-eight (578) of the
Town of Cambridge East. Bounded towards the
North-east by a street, ninety (90) links; towards the
South-east by Allotment No. 47, one hundred and
eighty-five (185) links; towards the South-west by
Allotment No. 617, one hundred and seventy-two
(172) links; and towards the North-west by a street,
one hundred and ten (110) links: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less. As a site for a town hall.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, containing by admeasurement two (2)
roods, more or less, and being Allotment numbered
