Resident Magistrate appointed to administer "The
Slaughterhouse Act, 1877."

NORMANBY, Governor.

WHEREAS by "The Slaughterhouse Act, 1877,"
it is enacted that in all parts of New Zealand
in which the whole of the Counties Act is not in
operation a Resident Magistrate to be appointed in
that behalf by the Governor, acting together with
any two Justices of the Peace, shall form a Bench of
Magistrates, who shall be charged with the adminis-
tration of all the provisions of the said Act within
such parts of New Zealand respectively as may be
limited to such Magistrates by the Governor: And
whereas the whole of "The Counties Act, 1876," is
not in force in the county specified in the second
column of the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in me by "The
Slaughterhouse Act, 1877," do hereby appoint the
Resident Magistrate whose name is specified in the
first column of the Schedule hereto to be the Resident
Magistrate who, acting together with any two Jus-
tices of the Peace, shall be charged with the adminis-
tration of the said Act within the county set opposite
his name in the second column of the said Schedule.

Cemetery.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the second section
of "The Cemeteries Management Act, 1877," I,
George Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Nor-
manby, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby appoint the several persons whose names
are specified in the first column of the Schedule
hereto to be Trustees to provide for the maintenance
and care of the Public Cemetery specified in the
second column of the said Schedule.

bered one hundred and eighty-eight
(188) in the Parish of Hautapu,
Cambridge Survey District. Bounded
towards the North-east by a public
road, three thousand eight hundred and
seventy-nine (3879) links; towards the
South by Lot numbered one hundred
and eighty-seven (187) in the Parish
of Hautapu aforesaid, one thousand
one hundred and seventy-five (1175)
links; and towards the West by a
public road, three thousand seven
hundred and twenty (3720) links: be
all the aforesaid linkages more or less,
as the same is delineated on the plan
deposited in the Survey Office, Auck-
land.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this eighteenth day of Feb-
ruary, one thousand eight hundred and
