Rangitata River; thence south-westerly along the
said bridge and the line of railway to the Rangitata
South Railway Station; thence by a straight line to
the junction of the road forming the south-eastern
boundary of Reserve No. 2162 (in red); thence
north-westerly along the latter road to the southern
corner of Reserve No. 2153 (in red); thence south-
westerly along road leading through Section 19206
to the Orari traffic bridge; thence along that bridge
to the centre of the river; thence north-westerly by
a line along the centre of the River Orari to a point
immediately opposite Tripp's Cutting; thence by
a straight line to the road forming the south-east
boundary of Reserve No. 1734 (in red); thence
along that road to its junction with the road passing
through Section 9548; thence south-easterly along the
latter road to road running through Section 9010;
thence south-westerly along that road to eastern boun-
dary of Run No. 546; thence westerly and southerly
along that boundary to stream running from south-
east corner of said run; thence along said stream to
its confluence with southern branch of River Hae-
Hae-te-moana; thence along said branch to the
western boundary of Run No. 548; thence along
the latter boundary and the River Opuha to its
junction with the River Opihi; thence north-westerly
along the latter river to the south-eastern boundary
of Run No. 254; thence north-easterly along that
boundary to the southern branch of the Opuha
River; thence westerly along the same and the
northern boundary of Run No. 357, and a line in
continuation thereof, to the summit of the Two
Thumb Range; and from thence returning by the
summit of said range to the starting point.

1876," in force within the Mount Cook Road Board

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue of the power vested in me by the third
section of "The Regulation of Local Elections
Act, 1876," I, George Augustus Constantine, Marquis
of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
said Act shall come into force, in respect of all elec-
tive offices of the Mount Cook Road Board, within
the district known as the Mount Cook Road Board
District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl of
Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and
Baron Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the
County of York, in the Peerage of the
United Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave
of New Ross, in the County of Wexford,
in the Peerage of Ireland; a Member of
Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy
Council; Knight Grand Cross of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George; Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
eleventh day of February, in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-eight.

Land temporarily reserved in the Provincial District
of Auckland.
NORMANBY, Governor.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which, in his opinion, are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act,
do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in
the Provincial District of Auckland described in
the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in
the said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, containing by admeasurement forty-eight
(48) acres, more or less, being a portion of that piece
of land known as the Government Paddock, situate
in the Turanganui Survey District. Bounded
towards the North by the Taruheru River, three
thousand five hundred (3500) links; towards the East
by a line bearing south 6° 59' east, one thousand one
hundred and twenty-five (1125) links; towards the
South by Matawhero No. 5 Block, two thousand nine
hundred and ninety-four (2994) links; towards the
West by the Mangamoteo Block, six hundred and
eighty-five (685) links: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less, as the same is delineated on the plans
deposited in the Provincial District Survey Office,
Auckland. For recreation purposes.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Auckland, containing by admeasurement ten (10)
acres, more or less, being a portion of that piece of
land known as the Government Paddock, situate in
the Turanganui Survey District. Bounded towards
the North by the Taruheru River, one thousand three
hundred (1300) links; towards the East by a line
bearing south 3° 21' west, seven hundred and forty-
four (744) links; towards the South by Matawhero
No. 5 Block, one thousand one hundred (1100)
links; and towards the West by a line bearing north
6° 59' west, one thousand one hundred and twenty-
five (1125) links: be all the aforesaid linkages more
or less, as the same is delineated on the plans de-
posited in the Provincial District Survey Office,
Auckland. As a site for a cemetery.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this eleventh day of February,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight.
