THE Inspector for the Wellington District reports
the number of sheep within his district at
111,764, being an increase over former year of 8,161;
and the assessment £231 16s. 10d. (less £2 2s. 1d.
owing by Natives) has been received.

At the beginning of 1877 eleven flocks were
diseased; these, as well as all the other flocks in this
district, are now in a healthy condition.
