Invercargill.
SOUTHLAND—GORE FERRY.
(To be sold as Town Lands.)
All that piece or parcel of land in the Southland
Division of the Provincial District of Otago, contain-
ing by admeasurement fifty (50) acres, more or less,
hitherto known on the maps as Ferry Reserve, Town
of Gore. Bounded as follows, namely: Towards the
North by Sections 76, 78, 79, and 80, Block XVI., of
said town, two thousand eight hundred and six (2806)
links; towards the East by a road line along the Ma-
taura River, three thousand three hundred and fifty
(3350) links; towards the South-west by a street line,
one thousand three hundred and seventy-one (1371)
links; and towards the West by main road, two
thousand two hundred and fifty (2250) and one
hundred and forty-nine (149) links respectively: be
all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same
are delineated on the plans deposited in the District
Survey Office, Invercargill.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-fourth day of December, 1878.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by "The Public Reserves Sale Act,
1878," it is, among other things, enacted that
the lands described in the Schedule may at any time
after the passing of the said Act be sold by the
Governor, upon such terms as shall be regulated by
Order in Council:
And whereas the lands described in the Schedule
are required to be sold as town lands, and it is
expedient that the terms of such sale should be
defined:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council of the said colony, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities aforesaid, do
hereby order and direct that the land described in
the Schedule hereto shall be sold upon the following
terms, that is to say,—

The Governor shall cause the said land to be
sold by public auction, as town lands, at Westport,
on the ninth day of January, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-nine. -
The sale shall be held by the Commissioner of
Crown Lands, and no land shall be sold at a less
price than one hundred pounds per acre. -
Sections forty-three and forty-four of "The
Land Act, 1877," are hereby declared to be part of
the terms upon which the said lands shall be sold,
and shall take effect accordingly, so far as the same
are consistent with these terms. -
Upon full payment of the purchase-money, the
purchaser will be entitled to his Crown grant, to be
issued in the usual way upon payment of the fees
prescribed by law.
SCHEDULE.
NELSON—PART OF GOVERNMENT RESERVE IN TOWN
OF WESTPORT.
(To be sold as Town Lands.)
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Nelson, containing by admeasurement four (4)
acres, more or less, situate in the Town of Westport,
and being part of a reserve for public buildings and
other purposes of the General Government. Bounded
towards the North-east by Russell Street, eight hun-
dred (800) links; towards the South-east by proposed
extension of Brougham Street, five hundred (500)
links; towards the South-west by Palmerston Street,
eight hundred (800) links; and towards the North-
west by reserve for municipal buildings, five hundred
(500) links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or
less; as the same are delineated on the plans de-
posited in the Provincial District Survey Office,
Nelson.

Altering Time of Meeting of the Dunedin Botanical
Domain Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-fourth day of December, 1878.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the eleventh section of "The
Public Domains Act, 1860," it is enacted
that the Governor, by Order in Council, may from
time to time delegate all or any of the powers by the
said Act conferred upon any person for any period,
and subject to such stipulations as may be specified
in such order, and that every such delegation may
from time to time in like manner be altered or re-
voked: And whereas it is enacted by "The Public
Domains Act, 1865," that the word "person" in the
hereinbefore recited section of "The Public Domains
Act, 1860," shall be deemed to include more persons
than one: And whereas an Order in Council, dated
the fifteenth day of October last, was passed dele-
gating the Governor's power under the said Acts to
certain persons therein named under certain stipu-
lations therein referred to: And whereas it is
expedient to alter the first stipulation in such Order
in Council aforesaid:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the Colony of New Zealand, doth, by this
present order, revoke the first stipulation in the said
Order in Council of the fifteenth day of October, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight, and doth
declare that the following shall be the first stipulation
in lieu thereof:—
The Board shall meet for the transaction of busi-
ness on the second Wednesday in each month, at four
o'clock in the afternoon, at the office of the Chairman,
or at such other time or place as may from time
