Proclaiming Campbelltown a Borough under "The
Municipal Corporations Act, 1876."

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by "The Incorporation of Campbell-
town Act, 1878," the Governor is empowered,
by Proclamation, to declare the lands described in
the Schedule to the said Act to be a borough under
"The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876:"
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
power and authority vested in me by "The Incor-
poration of Campbelltown Act, 1878," do hereby
proclaim and declare that the lands described in the
Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby
constituted, as from the twenty-seventh day of Decem-
ber, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight, a
borough under "The Municipal Corporations Act,
1876," and that the boundaries of such borough
shall be those specified in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Otago, bounded towards the North by the Bluff
Harbour; towards the East, South, and West by
Foveaux Straits; and towards the North-west by the
south-eastern boundary line of Section No. 19,
Block I., Campbelltown Hundred, produced from
sea to sea.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl
of Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and
Baron Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the
County of York, in the Peerage of the
United Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave
of New Ross, in the County of Wexford,
in the Peerage of Ireland; a Member of
Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy
Council; Knight Grand Cross of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George; Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and
Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony; at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-third day of December, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-eight.

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!
Suspending certain Sections of "The Sheep Act,
1878," in Marlborough.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the second section of "The Sheep
Act, 1878," the Governor is authorized to
suspend the operation of certain sections of the said
Act for certain periods within certain districts, as in
the said Act is mentioned: And whereas it is ex-
pedient to suspend the operation of the sections
herein mentioned within the Provincial District of
Marlborough:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
powers vested in me by "The Sheep Act, 1878," do
hereby proclaim and order that, in all districts or sub-
divisions constituted under the said Act within or
partly within the Provincial District of Marlborough,
the operation of sections twenty-three, twenty-five,
twenty-six, twenty-seven, twenty-eight, and twenty-
nine of "The Sheep Act, 1878," shall be and is hereby
suspended until the first day of January, one thou-
sand eight hundred and eighty; and I do hereby
further declare that the exercise of this present
authority shall not be deemed to preclude me from
similarly suspending the operation of the aforesaid
sections of the said Act for a further period within
the same district, if it shall be found necessary to
do so.

Establishment of Sheep Districts.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the eighth section of "The Sheep
Act, 1878," it is enacted, that the Governor,
by Proclamation, may from time to time divide the
colony into districts for the purposes of the said Act,
and may also part any district into subdivisions:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in me by the herein-
before recited Act, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the colony, for the purposes of the said Act,
shall be and is hereby divided into the districts and
subdivisions of districts mentioned in the Schedule
hereto, and that such districts and subdivisions shall
be known respectively by the names set forth in the
said Schedule; and that all boroughs in any such
districts shall be deemed to be included in the.
counties wherein they are situate.
