Judges of Assessment Courts under "The Rating Act, 1876," appointed.

NORMANBY, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of all powers and authorities vested in me by "The Rating Act, 1876,"
I, George Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby appoint the persons named in the Schedule hereto to be the Judges of the Assessment Courts
for the districts placed opposite their names.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fifth day of February, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-eight.

Member of Amuri Highway Board appointed.

NORMANBY, Governor.

WHEREAS at a meeting of the ratepayers of the
Amuri Highway District, a district constituted
under an Act of the Provincial Council of the late
Province of Nelson, intituled "The Highways Act,
1872," called for the purpose of electing one duly
qualified person to be a member of the Highway Board
of the said district, the said ratepayers neglected to
elect a duly qualified person:

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by virtue of the powers vested in
me by the said "Highways Act, 1872," and by "The
Abolition of Provinces Act, 1875," do hereby appoint

SAMUEL MUNSEN NEVILLE

to be a Member of the said Amuri Highway Board.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this first day of February,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight.

Appointing Adair's Wharf at Poverty Bay a
Legal Landing-place.

NORMANBY, Governor.

IN exercise of the power in me for this purpose
vested by "The Customs Regulation Act, 1858,"
I, George Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Nor-
manby, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby appoint that, from and after the day of the
date hereof, the wharf measuring sixty feet by sixty
feet, situate seventy feet from the public wharf, and
running out from the Native reserve, bounded on
the North by the town of Gisborne, and South by
Waikanae Stream, and known as

ADAIR'S WHARF,

shall be deemed and taken to be a legal quay or
landing-place at the Port of Poverty Bay, for the
lading and unlading of goods under "The Customs
Regulation Act, 1858."

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-

of Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and
