THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
Provincial District of Canterbury, the boundaries
whereof are described in the Schedule hereunto
annexed, and for the purposes in the said Schedule
specified.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Provincial District of Can-
terbury, containing by admeasurement twenty-four
(24) acres, more or less, being Section numbered two
thousand two hundred and thirty-two (2232) (in red).
Bounded towards the North-east by Section numbered
twenty-nine thousand four hundred and three (29403)
for a distance of ten (10) chains; towards the North-
west by Crown lands for a distance of twenty-four
(24) chains; towards the South-west by Crown lands
for a distance of ten (10) chains; and towards the
South-east by Crown lands for a distance of twenty-
four (24) chains; as the same is delineated on the
plan deposited in the Provincial District Survey
Office, Christchurch. For a gravel reserve.
All that area in the Provincial District of Canter-
bury, containing by admeasurement five (5) acres,
more or less, being Section numbered two thousand
two hundred and thirty-three (2233) (in red).
Bounded towards the North-east by Section number
twenty-one thousand five hundred and fifteen (21515)
for a distance of ten (10) chains; towards the North-
west by a road line for a distance of five (5) chains;
towards the South-east by Crown lands for a distance
of five (5) chains; and towards the South-west by
Crown lands for a distance of ten (10) chains; as the
same is delineated on the plans deposited in the
Provincial District Survey Office, Christchurch.
For a gravel pit.
All that area in the Provincial District of Canter-
bury, containing by admeasurement five (5) acres,
more or less, being Section numbered two thousand
two hundred and thirty-four (2234) (in red).
Bounded towards the West by a road line for a dis-
tance of five (5) chains; towards the North by Crown
land for a distance of ten (10) chains; towards the
East by Crown lands for a distance of five (5) chains;
and towards the South by Crown land for a distance
of ten (10) chains; as the same is delineated on
the plans deposited in the Provincial District Survey
Office, Christchurch. For a gravel pit.

Bounded towards the North-east by a road-line for a
distance of five (5) chains; towards the North-west
by Section number twenty five thousand two hundred
and twenty one (25221) for a distance of ten (10)
chains; towards the South-west by Crown lands for
a distance of five (5) chains; and towards the South-
east by Crown lands for a distance of ten (10)
chains; as the same is delineated on the plans de-
posited in the Provincial District Survey Office,
Christchurch. For a gravel pit.
All that area in the Provincial District of Canter-
bury, containing by admeasurement five (5) acres,
more or less, being Section numbered two thousand
two hundred and thirty six (2236) (in red). Bounded
towards the North-west by a road line for a distance
of five (5) chains; towards the North-east by a road
line for a distance of ten (10) chains; towards the
South-east by Crown land for a distance of five (5)
chains; and towards the South-west by Crown land
for a distance of ten (10) chains; as the same is
delineated on the plans deposited in the Provincial
District Survey Office, Christchurch. For a gravel pit.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this twenty-third day of Octo-
ber, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-seven.

Masterton Cemetery.
THE following Regulations are announced by the
Trustees in conformity with "The Greytown
and Masterton Public Park and Cemetery Act,
1875," section 22.
Fees charged as follows:-
For grave of ordinary depth, 5 feet Β£ s. d.
0 10 0
Each foot of extra depth 0 2 0
For permission to erect a gravestone or
cross to ordinary grave 1 0 0
For purchase of exclusive right of inter-
ment in a secluded spot in which brick
grave-vault or paling fence may be con-
structed, space not to exceed 9 feet x
9 feet 5 0 0
No fence or monument, other than cross or head-
stone, to be erected on unpurchased graves.
Persons who have land fenced in for interment in
the old burying-ground can, if they choose, con-
tinue to inter their friends within these limits on
payment of the above fees of ten and twenty shil-
lings.
We certify that the foregoing regulations were
duly made at a meeting of the Masterton Cemetery
Trustees on the 31st July, 1877, and that we were
present at said meeting.

Greytown and Masterton Public Park and Cemetery
Reserves Management Act, 1875," and "The Aboli-

the above rules and regulations and the scale of fees
thereby made.

THE following notification received from the
Government of India, in reference to the pur-
chase of remounts for the Bengal Army, is published
for general information.

SIR, I am desired by the Right Honorable the
Governor-General in Council to forward, for general
information, the accompanying notice regarding the
purchase of remounts required for the Bengal Army,
and to request that, under the orders of His Excel-
lency the Governor, it may be published in the lead-
ing journals, and circulated as extensively as pos-
sible.

NOTICE.
It is hereby notified, with reference to the advertise-
ment of the 31st July, 1876, that the Government of
India are prepared to purchase about 600 horses
suitable for army purposes during the year 1877-78,
and about the same number in the year 1878-79.
