Umballa, Lahore, Mooltan, Sialkote, Rawul Pindi,
Peshawur.
In future the purchases will, except under special
circumstances, be made only between the 15th Sep-
tember and 28th February. With regard to the
purchases of the season of 1877-78, however, no
alteration will be made in the date of closing-viz.,
1st April.
Horses and mares of all breeds will be received,
but they must be within the prescribed age, 4 to 7
years.
The average price for a remount has been fixed at
rupees 550. Every horse presented for purchase
will be valued separately, and higher or lower prices
may be given, provided that the average of the pur-
chases does not exceed that limit.

Railway.
Westport Wharf Rates.
IN accordance with the By-laws for the New
Zealand Railways fixed by Order in Council
dated the seventeenth day of April, 1877, the follow-
ing rates for the Westport Wharf of the Westport
to Mount Rochfort Railway are hereby declared to
be fixed, and shall be paid by persons using the said
wharf on and from the 5th of November, 1877.
