THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Executive Council of the Colony, in exercise and in
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in
him by the said Act, doth herehy order that the
interest and share of the said Hiha Ngarangioue in
the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be
and remain vested in

TE AWAPUNI,
as Trustee within the meaning and for the purposes
of the said Act for the said Hiha Ngarangioue
during his minority.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land at Wharerangi, in
the District of Ahuriri, in the Provincial District of
Hawke's Bay, and called or known by the name of
Wharerangi, containing by admeasurement 1,845
acres, be the same more or less, bounded towards the
North-east by the Napier Harbour; towards the
South-east by Blocks 14, 27, 26, and 12, 460 links,
480 links, 2530 links, 5200 links, 3400 links, and
2000 links; towards the South-west by Blocks 12,
33, 46, and again by 33, 1260 links, and 8950 links;
towards the West and North-west by Blocks 33, 75,
and 74, 11750 links, 3950 links, 1800 links, and
980 links to the commencing point at Te Niha on the
coast.

Appointing Atareta Mangumangu and Hira te Rau-
paraha Trustees under "The Maori Real Estate
Management Act, 1867."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
sixteenth day of January, 1877.
Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by "The Maori Real Estate Manage-
ment Act, 1867," it is enacted that if any title
to or interest in any hereditaments shall accrue to
any Maoris, who or any of whom shall be infants,
lunatics, or under legal disability, it shall be lawful
for the Governor in Council, if he think fit, to order
that such hereditaments, or any part thereof or
interest therein as shall to the Governor in Council
be shown to belong to such infant, lunatic, or other
person under legal disability, shall be vested in
trustees, as the Governor in Council shall think fit:
And whereas by virtue of a certificate of title bear-
ing date the thirty-first day of August, one thousand
eight hundred and sixty-eight, the parcel of land
and hereditaments described in the Schedule hereto
became vested in Enoka Rua and others, of the
District of Ahuriri, in the Province of Hawke's
Bay, aboriginal natives of New Zealand:
And whereas the said Enoka Rua died intestate:
And whereas at a sitting of the Native Land Court,
held at Napier, in the province aforesaid, on the
twenty-fifth day of July, one thousand eight hun-
dred and seventy-six, Hira te Rauparaha claimed to
succeed to the said Enoka Rua (otherwise known
as Enoka te Rua) in the parcel of land described in
the said Schedule:
And it was ordered by the said Court that Irikera,
Paora Heru, Mere Hira, and Erueti Ngamua Hira,
infants under the age of twenty-one years, should
succeed to the interest of the said Enoka Rua in the
hereditaments aforesaid:
And it is expedient that Atareta Mangumangu and
Hira te Rauparaha be appointed trustees under the
said Act on behalf of the said Irikera, Paora Heru,
Mere Hira, and Erueti Ngamua Hira:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the Colony, in exercise and in
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him
by the said Act, doth hereby order that the interests
and shares of the said Irikera, Paora Heru, Mere
Hira, and Erueti Ngamua Hira in the land described
in the Schedule hereto shall be and remain vested in

ATARETA MANGUMANGU and
HIRA TE RAUPARAHA,
as Trustees within the meaning and for the purposes
of the said Act for the said Irikera, Paora Heru,
Mere Hira, and Erueti Ngamua Hira during their
minority.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land at Ahuriri, in the Dis-
trict of Ahuriri, in the Provincial District of Hawke's
Bay, and called or known by the name of Te Wharea-
tepuru, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, be the
same more or less, bounded towards the North-east by
the Pukehou Block, 1385 links; towards the South-
east by a line 1500 links; towards the South-west
by a line 280 links; and towards the West by a line
1200 links.

as Erana Rake) in the parcel of land described in the
said Schedule:
And it was ordered by the said Court that Taea,
an infant under the age of twenty-one years, should
succeed to the interest of the said Erena Rake in the
hereditaments aforesaid:
And it is expedient that Hone Rautahi, Reihana
Wahapaukena, and Heni Tamingahuka be appointed
trustees under the said Act on behalf of the said
Taea:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the
