MANGAHOWHI.

All that parcel of land at Turakina, in the District
of Whanganui, in the Provincial District of Welling-
ton, called or known by the name of Mangahowhi,
containing by admeasurement two hundred and
seventy-eight (278) acres, or thereabouts. Bounded
towards the North-east by the Parae Karetu Block
two hundred and sixty-five (265) links; towards the
South-east by the block aforesaid eight thousand six
hundred and sixty-two (8662) links; towards the
South-west by a line three thousand nine hundred
and seventy-five (3975) links, and the Turakina
River; and towards the West and North-west by
the said river.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl
of Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and
Baron Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the
County of York, in the Peerage of the
United Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave
of New Ross, in the County of Wexford,
in the Peerage of Ireland; a Member of
Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy
Council; Knight Commander of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George; Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and
issued under the Seal of the said Colony,
at the Government House, at Wellington,
this tenth day of July, in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-seven.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by "The Auckland Dog Nuisance
Act (Session 1, No. 4), 1854," it is, among other
things, enacted that the said Act shall come into
operation in such districts as shall be proclaimed by
the Superintendent in the Auckland Provincial Ga-
zette to come within the operation of the said Act:
And whereas the powers vested in the Superin-
tendent by the said Act are now, by "The Abolition
of Provinces Act, 1875," vested in the Governor: And
whereas it is expedient to proclaim that the district
the boundaries whereof are set forth in the Schedule
hereto shall be proclaimed to come within the opera-
tian of the said first-mentioned Act;
