Lands declared to be Waste Lands of the Crown.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the seventeenth section of "The
Waste Lands Administration Act, 1876," it
is enacted that whenever the Governor is satisfied
that any lands purchased out of the sums authorized
under "The Immigration and Public Works Act,
1870," and any Act amending the same, to be issued
and expended in the purchase of lands in the North
Island of New Zealand, are free from Native claims
and all difficulties in connection therewith, he shall
by Proclamation declare such lands to be be
lands of the Crown, subject, except as thereafter in
the said Act provided, to be sold and dealt with
according to the provisions of the laws regulating
the sale and disposal of waste lands of the Crown
for the time being in force in the land district in
which such land is situated, and thereupon such land
so proclaimed shall become subject to such provi-
sions :
And whereas the land described in the Schedule
hereto has been purchased out of the sums authorized
under "The Immigration and Public Works Act,
1870," and Acts amending the same, and it is ex-
pedient that the said land should be declared to be
waste lands of the Crown:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, being satisfied that the lands de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto are free from Native
claims and all difficulties in connection therewith, in
pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
vested in me by "The Waste Lands Administration
Act, 1876," do hereby proclaim and declare the said
lands to be waste lands of the Crown, subject to be
sold and dealt with according to the provisions of
the laws regulating the sale and disposal of waste
lands of the Crown in force in the Land District of
Auckland.
SCHEDULE.
MANGANUIOWAE.
ALL that piece of land at Manganuiowae, in the Dis-
trict of Hokianga, in the Provincial District of
Auckland, known by the name of Manganuiowae,
containing by admeasurement five thousand six
hundred and forty-six (5,646) acres, or thereabouts.
Bounded towards the North by the Manganuiowae
River and the Pahikokura Creek; towards the East
by the Taraire Block eight hundred and thirty-four
(834) links, three thousand and six (3006) links,
four hundred and seventeen (417) links, five hundred
and twenty-five (525) links, five hundred and thirty-
five (535) links, one hundred and seventy-eight (178)
links, six hundred and eight (608) links, five hundred
and ninety (590) links, six hundred and sixty-seven
(667) links, two hundred and sixty-two (262) links,
four hundred and forty (440) links, one hundred and
sixteen (116) links, and eight hundred and twenty-
six (826) links, and the Tapuwae Block thirteen (13)
links, eight thousand five hundred and sixty-three
(8563) links, one hundred and sixty-seven (167)
links, five hundred and twenty (520) links, one
thousand and thirty-one (1031) links, six hundred
and seventy-five (675) links, one thousand eight
hundred and fifty-five (1855) links, five hundred and
thirty-nine (539) links, three thousand seven hundred
(3700) links, one thousand seven hundred and eleven
(1711) links, and four thousand six hundred and
thirty-six (4636) links; towards the South by the
last named block two thousand one hundred and
forty-one (2141) links; towards the West by the
Otangaroa No. 4 Block two thousand one hundred
and twenty-seven (2127) links, two thousand and tu
(2002) links, nine hundred and fifty-nine (95
links, one thousand two hundred and sixty-fi
(1265) links, six thousand one hundred

links; again towards the South by the Otangar-

hundred and sixty-four (12264) links.
OUE.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
Auckland containing by admeasurement one thousan
three hundred and forty-eight (1,348) acres, more
less, situate at Omanaia, in the District of Hokiang
being called or known by the name of Oue, ar
numbered five hundred and eighty-five N (585N
Bounded towards the North by the Papakawh
Block one thousand one hundred and eighty-thr-
(1183) links, five thousand three hundred and for
(5340) links; towards the North-east by the On
Creek by a line one thousand nine hundred an
twenty six (1926) links, and the Mangawhero Blo
one thousand six hundred (1600) links, six thousan
four hundred and thirty (6430) links, one thousan
two hundred and twenty three (1223) links, six hu
dred and ninety-one (691) links, five thousand fi
hundred and seventy-seven (5577) links, and tv
thousand two hundred and eighty-three (2283) link
towards the South-east by a line six thousand on
hundred and forty-nine (6149) links; and towar
the South-west by the Karuhiruhi Block fourtes
thousand five hundred and thirty (14530) links, an
eleven thousand three hundred and seventy (11376
links. Excepting the roads intersecting the said lan
and three native reserves marked A B and C on t
deed of conveyance to the Crown, and containin
respectively nine (9) acres and five (5) roods, ni
(9) acres and five (5) roods, and one (1) acre.
OUE NO. 2.
All that piece of land at Whirinaki, in the Distri
of Hokianga, in the Provincial District of Aucklan
known by the name of Oue No. 2, containing by a
measurement two hundred and sixty (260) acres,
more or less, situate at Whirinaki, in the Distri
of Hokianga, in the Provincial District of Aucklan
thereabouts. Bounded towards the North by t
Oue No. 1 Block five thousand nine hundred a
eighty-five (5985) links; towards the East by t
Mangawhero Block sixty-eight (68) links, and t
Okorihi Block seven thousand six hundred and eigh
(7680) links; towards the South by the Whiring
River; towards the West by the Karuhiruhi Blo
