Vaccination Districts constituted.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in
me by "The Public Health Act, 1876," I, George
Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, the
Governor of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and
declare that the boundaries of the Mongonui District,
the Bay of Islands District, the Hokianga District,
the Wangarei District, and the Tokatoka District
constituted as vaccination districts under "The
Public Health Act, 1872," shall be and the same are
hereby altered; and do hereby proclaim and declare
that the territory therein comprised shall be divided
anew into six vaccination districts, the names whereof
shall be the Mongonui District, the Bay of Islands
District, the Kawakawa District, the Hokianga Dis-
trict, the Whangarei District, and the Tokatoka Dis-
trict; and that the boundaries of the said districts
shall be coterminous with the boundaries of dis-
tricts bearing the same names as are set forth in a
Proclamation of even date herewith made under the
provisions of "The Marriage Act Amendment Act,
1858:" And I hereby declare that this Proclamation
shall come into operation and take effect on the
first day of August, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-seven.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl
of Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and
Baron Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the
County of York, in the Peerage of the
United Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave
of New Ross, in the County of Wexford,
in the Peerage of Ireland; a Member of
Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy
Council; Knight Commander of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George; Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and
Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
fifteenth day of June, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-seven.

"The Protection of Animals Act, 1873."

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section ten of "The Protection of
Animals Act, 1873," it is enacted that no game
shall be hunted, shot, taken, or killed in any province
until the same shall have been proclaimed as open
for that purpose by a Proclamation in that behalf to
be made and published in the Gazette; and that no
game shall be hunted, shot, taken, or killed except
within a consecutive period not exceeding three
months of any year to be fixed by the Superinten-
dent by Proclamation as aforesaid, between the first
day of May and the thirty-first day of July, both
inclusive, in any year, and only between the hours of
sunrise and sunset: And whereas by "The Abolition
of Provinces Act, 1875," it is enacted that all powers,
duties, and functions which immediately before the
date of the abolition thereunder of any province were
vested in or to be exercised or performed by the
Superintendent of such abolished province should, on
the day of the date of the abolition of such province,
and for the purposes of the district included within
such abolished province, vest in and be exercised and
performed by the Governor:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, Governor of New Zealand, in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on
me by the said recited Acts, and in exercise of any
other power enabling me in that behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that hares shall be open to be
coursed within the Provincial District of Canterbury
between the second day of July, 1877, and the four-
teenth day of July in the same year, both inclusive,
but only between the hours of sunrise and sunset.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue of the power vested in me by the third
section of "The Regulation of Local Elections
Act, 1876," I, George Augustus Constantine, Marquis
of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
said Act shall come into force, in respect of all
elective offices of the Ponsonby and or Dedwood
Highway Board, within the district known as the
Ponsonby and or Dedwood Highway District.
