Sea-gulls declared to be Native Game.

By HENRY BUNNY, Esq., Executive Officer of
the Provincial District of Wellington.

BY virtue of the powers vested in me by "The
Protection of Animals Act, 1873," I, Henry
Bunny, Executive Officer of the Provincial District
of Wellington, do hereby proclaim and appoint that
the birds mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be
deemed to be "native game" after the publication of
this Proclamation; and that on and after the date of
such publication it shall not be lawful to shoot such
birds within the boundaries of the Wellington Pro-
vincial District.

Election of Member of Waiohine Board of Con-
servators.

PROCLAMATION.

I, HENRY BUNNY, Executive Officer of the
Provincial District of Wellington, under the
provisions of "The Wellington Rivers Act, 1876,"
do hereby proclaim and appoint that an election for
a member of the Waiohine Board of Conservators,
to supply the vacancy caused by the death of the late
Mr. Robert Lucas, will take place on Friday the
fourth day of May next, at seven o'clock in the
evening, at the School-house, at Greytown; and I
hereby appoint

THOMAS FRETHEY

to be the Returning Officer at such meeting as
aforesaid.

Given under my hand at Wellington, New
Zealand, this sixteenth day of April, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-

NOTICE has been received from the Inspector of
Sheep for the East Coast District that he has
granted clean certificates to the following flock-
owners:-

GEORGE MOORE, Eparaima, flock of wethers, 193;
dated 28th March, 1877.
EDWIN MEREDITH, Riversdale, Kohiwai, mixed
flock of Sheep about 6,000; dated 29th March,
1877. Round Hill, flock of wethers about
1,500; dated 29th March, 1877.
Messrs. WILLIAMS and RICHARDS, Elm Grove,
mixed flock of sheep about 1,500; dated 30th
March, 1877.

Wangaehu Highway District.β€”New Road.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wangaehu
Highway Board intend constructing a road, to
be called the Waikupa Road, of which the following
is a general description:-

This road connects the Waikupa Reserve with the
No. 3 Line of Road. It commences at the New
Eastern Line at a point upon the leasehold property
of Mr. R. T. Shield, and terminates at the western
boundary of the Waikupa Reserve at a point upon
the freehold property of Mr. D. Lind, where it con-
nects with the road already laid off through the
reserve. The total distance is 3 miles or there-
abouts, and the width 50 links. The road passes
through the under-mentioned properties:β€”
