I certify that I have carefully examined the ac-
counts of the Provincial District Treasurer of the
Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, for the Quarter
ending the 31st December, 1876, and have compared
them with the vouchers, and find the computations
correct; that the revenues and receipts brought on
charge and required by law to be paid into the Pro-
vincial Account were so paid; that all issues of
public moneys have been made on the warrants of the
Superintendent duly certified by me; that all moneys
issued in payment of services rendered were legally
available according to the terms of "The Provincial
Audit Act, 1866;" that the expenditure shown in the
above accounts has been properly classified; and that
any portion thereof which may have been incurred
without authority of law is separately shown.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the
Governor has been pleased to confirm the
sentence of the Court of Enquiry into the wreck of
the schooner "Clyde," and that the New Zealand
Certificate of Service as Master, No. 2212, held by
LARS PETERSEN,
is therefore suspended for a period of twelve months
from the 28th ultimo.

IN accordance with the By-laws for the New
Zealand Railways fixed by Order in Council
dated the seventeenth day of April, 1877, the follow-
ing rates for the Onehunga Wharf of the Onehunga
Branch Railway are hereby declared to be fixed, and
shall be paid by persons using the said wharf from
this date forward until altered.
