SCHEDULE.
THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land at Te Wairoa, in
the District of Wairoa, in the Provincial District
of Hawke's Bay, and called or known by the name
of Te Matuku, containing by admeasurement one
thousand three hundred and thirty-three (1333)
acres, be the same more or less. Bounded towards
the North by the Taupara Block, eight hundred and
thirty-six (836) links, one thousand seven hundred
and fifty-nine (1759) links, and seven thousand and
seventy-eight (7078) links; towards the East by lines,
four thousand one hundred and ninety-eight (4198)
links, and five thousand nine hundred (5900) links;
towards the South by the Huramua No. 1 Block,
eight thousand nine hundred and ninety-eight (8998)
links, and six thousand three hundred and seventy-
three (6373) links; towards the South-west by Crown
land, two thousand six hundred (2600) links; and
towards the West by the Tutaekuri Stream and by a
a line, one hundred and thirty (130) links.

Appointing Hare Tipene and Tautahi Trustees under
"The Maori Real Estate Management Act, 1867."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
seventeenth day of April, 1877.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by "The Maori Real Estate Manage-
ment Act, 1867," it is enacted that if any title
to or interest in any hereditaments shall accrue to
any Maoris, who or any of whom shall be infants,
lunatics, or under legal disability, it shall be lawful
for the Governor in Council, if he think fit, to order
that such hereditaments, or any part thereof or
interest therein as shall to the Governor in Council
be shown to belong to such infant, lunatic, or
other person under legal disability, shall be vested in
trustees, as the Governor in Council shall think fit:

And whereas by virtue of a Crown grant bearing
date the eighth day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and sixty-nine, the parcel of land and here-
ditaments described in the Schedule hereto became
vested in Herewini Whiro and others, their heirs
and assigns, of the District of Whanganui, in the
Province of Wellington, aboriginal natives of New
Zealand:

And whereas the said Herewini Whiro died intes-
tate:

And whereas at a sitting of the Native Land
Court, held at Whanganui, in the District of Wha-
nganui, in the Provincial District of Wellington, on
the eighteenth day of January, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-seven, Te Ata-o-Whiro claimed
to succeed to the interest and share of the said
Herewini Whiro in the parcel of land described in
the said Schedule:

And it was ordered by the said Court that Te
Ata-o-Whiro, an infant under the age of twenty-one
years, should succeed to the interest and share of the
said Herewini Whiro in the hereditaments aforesaid :

And it is expedient that Hare Tipene and Tautahi
be appointed trustees under the said Act on behalf
of the said Te Ata-o-Whiro:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the colony, in exercise and in
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in
him by the said Act, doth hereby order that the
interest and share of the said Te Ata-o-Whiro in the
land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and
remain vested in

HARE TIPENE, and
TAUTAHI,

as Trustees within the meaning and for the purposes
of the said Act for the said Te Ata-o-Whiro during
her minority.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Province of Welling-
ton, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by
admeasurement one thousand two hundred and forty-
four (1244) acres, more or less, situate at Waitotara,
in the District of Whanganui, being called or known
by the name of "Nukumaru," and numbered eighty-
nine N (89N). Bounded towards the East by Crown
land, five thousand one hundred and ninety (5190)
links, and twelve thousand seven hundred and fifteen
(12715) links, through the Waikato Lake; towards
the South by Crown land, seven thousand four hun-
dred (7400) links; towards the West by Crown land,
thirteen thousand three hundred and sixty (13360)
links; and towards the North-west and North by the
Ohieiti Stream.

Delegation of Governor's Powers under Sections 12
and 42 of " Marine Act, 1867," to the New Plymouth
Harbour Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
seventeenth day of April, 1877.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the sixth section of "The Marine
Act, 1867," (hereinafter called "the said
Act,") it is, among other things, enacted that the
Governor in Council may from time to time delegate
all or any of the powers and authorities vested in him
by the said Act, subject to any restrictions or stipu-
lations which may be specified in such Order: And
whereas by virtue of an Ordinance passed by the
Provincial Council of Taranaki intituled "The New
Plymouth Harbour Board Ordinance, 1875," a Har-
bour Board for the Port of New Plymouth has been
constituted under the name of "The New Plymouth
Harbour Board:" And whereas it is expedient that
the powers and authorities conferred upon the
Governor by the twelfth and forty-second sections
of the said Act should be delegated to the said
Board as hereinafter provided:

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
hereinbefore recited power and authority, and by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, do hereby delegate unto the New
Plymouth Harbour Board aforesaid the powers and
authorities vested in me by the twelfth and forty-
second sections of the said Act: Provided, however,
that this delegation shall extend and operate as far
as regards the Port of New Plymouth only; and that
the powers so delegated shall only be exercised by the
said Board within the limits of the said port, as the
same is defined in a warrant bearing date the twentieth
day of November, one thousand eight hundred and
sixty-eight, and published in the New Zealand Gazette
of the twenty-third day of November in the said year.
