packages mentioned therein contain [number to be
stated] skins obtained from rabbits taken or des-
troyed within a district constituted under "The
Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1876," or "The Rabbit Nui-
sance Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1877."
2. The exporter or his agent shall produce the
packages for the examination of the proper officer of
Customs, and obtain his certificate on a copy of the
export entry, of the due exportation of the number
of rabbit-skins stated in the declaration.
3. The exporter or his agent shall attach the cer-
tificate to the form upon which he makes claim for
payment, which claim must be certified by the prin-
cipal officer of Customs at the port of exportation.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this twentieth day of Decem-
ber, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-seven.

THE following notice, received from His Worship
the Mayor of Gisborne, is published for general
information, in accordance with Section 145 of "The
Municipal Corporations Act, 1876."

NOTICE is hereby given that, at a poll of the Burgesses
on the 17th October, 1877, it was decided, by 132
votes to 12, that a loan of Β£50,000 should be raised,
for the purpose of building a break-water and forming
a harbour inside the same; reclaiming the foreshore
of the river; forming and metalling a road from
the proposed works to the bridge; and building a
bridge over the Turanganui River.
That the security offered should be the borough
rates; a special rate of sixpence in the Β£; and rent
of foreshore and wharves, borough property.
