Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
hereinbefore recited power and authority, and by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Colony, do hereby delegate unto the
Napier Harbour Board the powers vested in me by
the twelfth, thirteenth, and forty-second sections of
the said Act: Provided, however, that this delegation
shall extend and operate as far as regards the Port of
Napier only; and that the powers so delegated shall
only be exercised by the said Board within the limits
of the said port, as the same is defined in a Warrant
bearing date the twentieth day of November, one
thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight, and pub-
lished in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-
third day of November in the same year.

Governor's Assent to By-Law made by the Auckland
Harbour Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
nineteenth day of September, 1876.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
HIS Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of all powers and
authorities vested in him by "The Marine Act, 1867,"
and "The Harbour Boards Act, 1870," or either of
them, doth hereby, with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the Colony, approve of the
following By-law, made by the Auckland Harbour
Board:-
BY-LAW.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers and autho-
rities vested in the Auckland Harbour Board,
the said Board do hereby make the following
regulation or by-law:-
That all gunpowder or explosive substance landed
or shipped within the Port of Auckland shall be
landed or shipped at that portion of the reclamation
in Freeman's Bay (being a reserve) bounded on the
North by the Harbour of Auckland; on the East by
Allotment number ten of the said reclamation; and
on the South by Allotment number nine and Custom
House Street West.
And any person who shall land or ship, or aid and
assist in landing or shipping, any gunpowder or ex-
plosive substance within the Port of Auckland at any
other wharf, jetty, or other place, except at the said
reserve in Freeman's Bay, shall forfeit and pay for
any such offence any sum not exceeding fifty pounds.

Fixing Date of Sittings of Court of Appeal.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
nineteenth day of September, 1876.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by "The Court of Appeal Act, 1862,"
and "The Court of Appeal Act Amendment
Act, 1870," it is enacted that the Court shall hold
its sittings at such times and places as shall be from
time to time fixed by the Governor in Council, and
proclaimed in the Government Gazette thirty days
at least before the times so fixed respectively:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
New Zealand, doth hereby fix that a sitting of the
Court of Appeal of New Zealand shall be held within
the Supreme Court House, in the City of Wellington,
and Province of Wellington, upon the thirteenth day
of November, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-six, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon.

Altering Regulation, Kumara Special Licensing
District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
nineteenth day of September, 1876.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by a Proclamation bearing date the
nineteenth day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-six, the boundaries of the
Kumara Special Licensing District were proclaimed
under "The Licensing Act 1873 Amendment Act,
1874": And whereas by an Order in Council, of
even date therewith, certain Regulations were made
for the district so proclaimed: And whereas by one
of such Regulations, numbered four, it was, amongst
other things, provided that the house and premises in
respect of which any license might be granted should,
subject to the exceptions therein mentioned, be
closed at ten o'clock at night: And whereas it is
expedient to extend the time of closing until eleven
o'clock at night:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council of the Colony, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority vested in
him in that behalf, and with the consent of the
Superintendent of the Province of Westland, doth
hereby amend the above in part recited Regulation,
numbered four, by the substitution of the words
"eleven o'clock at night" for the words "ten o'clock
at night."

rity vested in him by the twenty-seventh section
of "The Abolition of Provinces Act, 1875," His Ex-
cellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, by and with the advice of the Executive Council
thereof, doth hereby give his consent to the attached
Proclamation.
