the said Colony, do hereby revoke the said herein-
before in part recited Proclamation of the tenth day
of November, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-four.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl of
Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and Baron
Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the County
of York, in the Peerage of the United
Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave of New
Ross, in the County of Wexford, in the
Peerage of Ireland; a Member of Her
Majesty's Most Honorable Privy Coun-
cil; Knight Commander of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George; Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-seventh day of June, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-six.

Military Reserve changed to Lighthouse Reserve.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the parcel of land described in the
Schedule hereto, being part of a piece of land
containing about 670 acres, was set apart as a Mili-
tary Reserve: And whereas it is expedient, under
the powers conferred by the thirteenth section of
"The Waste Lands Act, 1858," to change the specific
purpose for which so much of said land as is de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto was set apart:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of New Zea-
land, with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Colony, in pursuance and exercise
of the power and authority vested in me for this
purpose by the said recited Act, do hereby change
the specific purpose for which the said land was set
apart, and do hereby declare that it shall henceforth
be a reserve for the purpose in the said Schedule
mentioned.

links (scaled); 315°, 700 links; 319° 50′,
635 links; 12° 27′, 1013 links; 342°24′,
1563 links; 328° 44′, 995 links; and
315° 52′, 1158 links. Excepting the road
passing through the said land in a north-

Certain Articles declared to be Poisons under "The
Sale of Poisons Act, 1871."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-seventh day of June, 1876.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the third section of "The Sale of
Poisons Act, 1871," (hereinafter called "the
said Act,") it is, amongst other things, enacted that
the Governor, by Order in Council, may from time
to time declare that any article in such Order named
shall be deemed a poison within the meaning of the
said Act; and such Order shall be published in the
New Zealand Gazette; and on the expiration of three
months from such advertisement the article named
in such resolution shall be deemed to be a poison
within the meaning of the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the Colony, in pursuance and
exercise of the power and authority vested in him in
that behalf, doth hereby order and declare that from
and after twenty-ninth day of September,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-six, the
following articles shall be deemed to be poisons
within the meaning of the said Act, that is to say,—
Digitalis (commonly known as Foxglove),
Carbolic Acid,
Nitric Acid,
Sulphuric Acid,
Chloral,
Chlorodyne;
and that the provisions applicable to the poisons
mentioned in the First Schedule to the said Act shall
be applicable to the above-mentioned poison Digitalis.
