Special Regulation under "The Diseased Cattle Act,
1871."

NORMANBY, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Auckland, this
twelfth day of April, 1876.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the thirteenth section of "The
Diseased Cattle Act, 1871," it is amongst
other things enacted that the Governor, by Order
in Council, may from time to time, as occasion shall
require, make any special regulations modifying any
of "The Diseased Cattle Regulations," either wholly
or in respect of any matters which shall seem to be
necessary to be made in respect of any particular
district or any part thereof; and all such special
regulations shall take effect from and after such day,
being a day not less than thirty days subsequent to
the first publication thereof, and shall, in the same
manner as "The Diseased Cattle Regulations," be
published in the New Zealand Gazette, and on being
so published shall have the force of law: And
whereas by an Order in Council, bearing date the
sixth day of November, one thousand eight hundred

and seventy-five, and published in the New Zealand
Gazette of the eleventh day of November, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-five, certain
"Diseased Cattle Regulations" were made, but
it was provided that until further order such Regu-
lations should be in force only within the District of
Kaikoura: And whereas it is expedient to modify
the above-mentioned Regulations:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, and in exercise and
pursuance of all powers and authorities enabling
him in this behalf, doth hereby make the following
special Regulation, and doth order and declare that
such Regulation shall take effect from and after the
first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-six, on which day the same shall come into
operation.

REGULATION.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary con-
tained in "The Diseased Cattle Regulations" of the
sixth day of November, 1875, horses, sheep, goats,
and swine shall, until further order be made in that
behalf, be exempt from the operation of such Regula-
tions within the District of Kaikoura.

Place and Time appointed for Vaccination.

NORMANBY, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by "The Public Health Act, 1872," I, George
Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the
place mentioned in the second column of the Schedule hereto as and to be the place at which the
Public Vaccinator appointed for the district mentioned in the first column of the said Schedule shall
attend for the performance of vaccination, as required by the said Act; and I do hereby give notice that
such Public Vaccinator will attend at the place aforesaid, for the purpose of performing such vaccination,
on the days and at the hours set forth in the third column of the said Schedule opposite the name of
such place; and further, that at such place as last aforesaid the Public Vaccinator will attend for the
purpose of inspecting the progress of such vaccination in the persons so vaccinated on the days and at
the hours respectively set forth in the fourth column of the said Schedule opposite the name of such place.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Most Honorable George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, Earl of Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and Baron Mulgrave of
Mulgrave, all in the County of York, in the Peerage of the United Kingdom; and
Baron Mulgrave of New Ross, in the County of Wexford, in the Peerage of Ireland;
a Member of Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy Council; Knight Commander of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; at the Government House at Auckland,
this eleventh day of April, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-six.
