Sitting of District Court at Timaru.

NORMANBY, Governor.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and fifty-fifth
section of "The District Courts Act, 1858,"
it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor
from time to time, by notification in the New Zealand
Gazette, to fix the times and places within the
district at which every such Court shall be held, and
in like manner such times and places to alter or
abolish as he shall think fit:

And whereas, by a Warrant dated the twenty-
fourth day of January, one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-two, the Governor appointed that sit-
tings of the District Court of the Timaru and
Oamaru District should be held at Timaru, at the
Mechanics' Institute, for the despatch of civil and
criminal business on the tenth day of March, and
other days, in each year:

And whereas it is expedient that the next sittings
of the said District Court should be held at the
Odd Fellows' Hall at Timaru, instead of at the said
Mechanics' Institute:

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, do hereby declare and appoint that,
notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained
in the said in part recited Warrant, the next sitting
of the said District Court shall be held at the Odd
Fellows' Hall at Timaru, in lieu of at the Mechanics'
Institute at Timaru.

the Most Honorable George Augustus
Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl
of Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and
Baron Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the
County of York, in the Peerage of the
United Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave
of New Ross, in the County of Wexford,
in the Peerage of Ireland; a Member of
Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy
Council; Knight Commander of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George; Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and
Vice-Admiral of the same; at the Go-
vernment House at Wellington, this
fourteenth day of February, one thou-
sand eight hundred and seventy-six.

Her Majesty so much of the waste lands of the
Crown as is particularly specified and described in
the Schedules hereunder written, for the purposes
in the said Schedules mentioned, and which pur-
poses are set opposite the descriptions of such lands.

SCHEDULE No. 1.

Description of Reserve. Purpose of
Reserve.

PROVINCE OF OTAGO.
Dunedin to Moeraki Railway (portion of).
So much and such part of the waste lands
of the Crown in the Province of Otago as is
included between two lines drawn on each
side of, parallel to, and at a distance of one
chain fifty links from the centre line and
along the entire length of the railway from
Dunedin to Blueskin, as the lands
hereby reserved or intended so to be are
delineated upon the plans of the said rail-
way deposited or to be deposited in the
office of the Registrar of the Supreme
Court at Dunedin, and the line of which
said railway was, under the authority of
"The Immigration and Public Works Act,
1870," and the several Acts amending the
same, proclaimed in the New Zealand
Gazette of the 13th day of August, 1874.
For the purpose
of the construc-
tion of a line
of railway from
Dunedin to Moe-
raki, authorized
to be constructed
under "The Rail-
ways Act, 1873."

SCHEDULE No. 2.

PROVINCE OF OTAGO.
Dunedin and Moeraki Railway (portion of).
So much and such part of the waste lands
of the Crown in the Province of Otago as is
included between two lines drawn on each
side of, parallel to, and at a distance of one
chain fifty links from the centre line and
along the entire length of that portion of
the railway from Dunedin to Moeraki
which commences at a point in Section
No. 44 of Block IV., Hawksbury Survey
District, and terminates at or near a point
in Lot 2 of Section numbered 15, Block I.,
Moeraki Survey District, as the same lands
hereby reserved or intended so to be are
delineated upon the plans of the said rail-
way deposited or to be deposited in the
office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court
at Dunedin, and the line of which said rail-
way was, under the authority of "The
Immigration and Public Works Act, 1870,"
and the several Acts amending the same,
proclaimed in the New Zealand Gazette of
the 25th day of November, 1875.
For the purpose
of the construc-
tion of a line
of railway from
Dunedin to Moe-
raki, authorized
to be constructed
under "The Rail-
ways Act, 1873."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
fifteenth day of February, 1876.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by "The Waste Lands Act, 1858,"
it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the
Governor in Council, at any time and from time to
time, to except from sale, and either reserve to Her
Majesty or dispose of in such other manner as for
the public interest may seem best, such of the waste
lands of the Crown in any of the provinces of the
colony as may be required for the purposes of
military defence, or for the construction of trunk
lines of road, or as sites for public buildings for
the use of the General Government, or for other
purposes of public utility or convenience :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the Colony, in exercise and pursuance of
the power and authority in that behalf vested in
him, doth hereby except from sale and reserve to

PROVINCE OF OTAGO.
Mosgiel and Outram Branch Railway
(portion of).
So much and such part of the waste lands
of the Crown in the Province of Otago as is
included between two lines drawn on each
side of, parallel to, and at a distance of one
chain fifty links from the centre line and
along the entire length of that portion of
which commences at or near a point situ-
ated on the Dunedin and Clutha Railway
in Section numbered 1, Block III., Taieri
District, and terminates at or near a point
situated in Section numbered 9, Block XV.,
in the Town of Outram, as the same lands
hereby reserved or intended so to be are
delineated upon the plans of the said rail-
way deposited or to be deposited in the
office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court
at Dunedin, and the line of which said
railway was, under the authority of "The
Immigration and Public Works Act, 1873,"
and the Acts amending the same, pro-
claimed in the New Zealand Gazette of the
25th day of November, 1875.
For the purpose
of the construc-
tion of a line of
