THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Now therefore, His Excellency the Marquis of
Normanby, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority vested in him by the hereinbefore in part
recited Act, and by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Colony, doth
hereby order that the purpose for which the said
reserve was originally made shall be changed, and
the same shall be and become a reserve for the pur-
poses of a public racecourse; and the lands in the
Province of Westland, the boundaries whereof are
described in the said Schedule hereunto annexed, are
hereby reserved accordingly for a racecourse.


SCHEDULE.

SEVENTY-NINE acres, more or less, situate near the
south bank of the River Grey, and being that parcel
of land reserved for a recreation ground, as proclaimed
in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 44, of the 20th July,
1868: and numbered 34 (in red); commencing at a
point on the road reserved along the north-eastern
bank of the Omotomoto Creek, the same being six
chains seventy links south-east of the (old) Omoto-
moto Bridge; thence following a line bearing North
64Β° 30' East (magnetic) a distance of about thirty-
five chains twenty links; thence following another
line bearing South 40Β° 50' East (magnetic)-along the
south-western boundaries of section 1420, Reserve
No. 4 (in red), and section 1419-to the road reserve
before mentioned; and from thence returning along
the same to the commencing point.

Altering Circuit Court at Nelson.

NORMANBY, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-fourth day of August, 1875.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by "The Supreme Court Act, 1860,"
it is enacted that there shall be held Circuit
Courts for the despatch of civil and criminal business
of the Court before one of the Judges thereof, at
such places and times as the Governor in Council
may from time to time appoint:
And whereas by Order in Council made the first
day of November, in the year one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-one, Circuit Courts were ap-
pointed to be held within the Nelson District, on the
first Monday in the month of January, and on the
third Monday in each of the months of April and
August in each and every year:
And whereas it is expedient that a Circuit Court
of the Supreme Court should be held on the thirtieth
day of November, next, in lieu of the Circuit Court
appointed by the said recited Order in Council to be
held at Nelson on the third day of January next:
Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Colony, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority vested in him by "The Supreme Court
Act, 1860," doth hereby revoke the said in part
recited Order in Council so far, but so far only, as
the same appoints a Circuit Court of the Supreme
Court to be held in the Nelson District, on the third
day in January next; and doth hereby appoint that,
in lieu of the Circuit Court so appointed to be held,
there shall be held in the said district, at the Pro-
vincial Council Hall at Nelson, on the thirtieth day

of November next, a Circuit Court for the despatch
of civil and criminal business of the said Court.

Altering Circuit Court at New Plymouth.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-fourth day of August, 1875.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly
of New Zealand, intituled "The Supreme
Court Act, 1860," it is provided that there shall be
held Circuit Courts for the despatch of civil and
criminal business of the Court, before one of the
Judges thereof, at such times and places as the
Governor in Council may from time to time appoint:
And whereas by an Order in Council bearing date
the second day of February, one thousand eight hun-
dred and seventy-four, Circuit Courts were appointed
to be held in the Northern Judicial District of the
Colony, at New Plymouth, in the Province of Tara-
naki, on the first Monday in the month of April and
October, in each and every year: And whereas it is
expedient that the time appointed for holding a
Circuit Court at New Plymouth, on the first Monday
in October next, should be altered as hereinafter set
forth:

Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the Colony, doth hereby fix and appoint
that a Circuit Court in the Northern District of the
Colony shall be held for the despatch of civil and
criminal business of the Court, before the Judge
thereof to whom the said district has been assigned,
in the Resident Magistrate's Court House at New
Plymouth, in the Province of Taranaki, on the sixth
day of December next, in lieu of the Circuit Court
appointed to be held as aforesaid on the first Monday
of the month of October next.

Fixing Date of Sittings of Court of Appeal.

NORMANBY, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-fourth day of August, 1875.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by "The Court of Appeal Act, 1862,"
and "The Court of Appeal Act Amendment
Act, 1870," it is enacted that the Court shall hold
its sittings at such times and places as shall be from
time to time fixed by the Governor in Council, and
proclaimed in the Government Gazette thirty days at
least before the times so fixed respectively:

Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor, with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
New Zealand, doth hereby fix that a sitting of the
Court of Appeal of New Zealand shall be held within
the Supreme Court House, in the City of Wellington,
and Province of Wellington, upon the eighth day of
November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
five, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon.
