to time, by Order in Council, whereof notice shall be
published in the New Zealand Gazette, may constitute
and define districts within and for which Courts to
be called Courts of Petty Sessions shall be held, and
such districts, or any of them, may from time to time
abolish, and the boundaries thereof may define or
alter:

And whereas by an Order in Council bearing date the
twenty-second day of July, one thousand eight hun-
dred and sixty-eight, and published in the New Zealand
Gazette on the twenty-fifth day of the said month of
July the Ngaruroro District was, amongst others,
defined to be a district within and for which Courts
of Petty Sessions should be held for the purposes of
the said Act:

And whereas it is expedient to abolish the said
district:

Now therefore, His Excellency the Marquis of
Normanby, the Governor of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the power and authority in
this behalf vested in him as aforesaid, doth hereby,
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the Colony, abolish the said District of Ngaruroro
from the first day of October next.

Fixing Sittings of District Court, Otago Gold Fields.

NORMANBY, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority in this behalf enabling me, I, George
Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
fix and appoint that sittings of the District Court of
the Otago Gold Fields shall be held as follows:-

In the Resident Magistrate's Court House at
Cromwell on Wednesday, the sixth day of
October, and Wednesday, the eighth day of
December next.

Provided that in case either of the days so fixed as
aforesaid shall happen to be a holiday, then the
Court appointed for that day shall be holden on the
first day thereafter not being a holiday.

Issued this nineteenth day of August, 1875.
