IT is hereby notified for public information, that
Mr. C. J. NORTON,
Postmaster at Kowai, in the Province of Canterbury,
and
MR. J. FINCH,
Postmaster at Geraldine, in the Province of Canter-
bury, have been appointed Depositaries of Duty
Stamps.

the designation of the Post Office in the Province
of Otago, known as Black's, has been changed to
OPHIR.

Government offices, within half a mile of the General
Assembly Buildings at Thorndon, and vice versa, at per
load.
3rd. Between the Queen's Wharf and the Magazine, and vice
versa, at per load.
4th. Between the Queen's Wharf and Upper Mount Cook
Barracks, and vice versa, at per load.
5th. Between the Queen's Wharf and Lower Mount Cook
Barracks, and vice versa, at per load.
6th. Between the Queen's Wharf and Thorndon Barracks, and
vice versa, at per load.
7th. Between Mount Cook Barracks and Thorndon Barracks,
and vice versa, at per load.
8th. Between the Queen's Wharf and Pipitea Point, and vice
versá, at per load.
9th. For all packages over 30 cwt., at per ton.

  • The stations marked with an asterisk are open from 8 a.m.
    till 8 p.m.; all others from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m., except Onehunga,
    which opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m.; and Government
    Buildings, which opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 4.30 p.m.,
    except on Saturdays, when it closes at 2 p.m. This station is
    also closed on Sundays.

In addition to the ordinary hours, the stations at Oamaru,
Timaru, and Wanganui are open from 7 p.m. till 8 p.m. daily,
Sundays and Holidays excepted.

N.B.—On Sundays, Public Holidays, and within each
Province the Anniversary of such Province, the office hours
are from 10 a.m. till 10.30 a.m., and from 5 p.m. till 5.30 p.m.
