seven thereof, subject or not to any limitations or
restrictions as he may think fit, and in like manner
to alter or revoke any such powers:
And whereas it is further provided that whenever
the Governor shall have delegated to the Superin-
tendent of any province all or any of the aforesaid
powers, it shall be lawful for the Governor, by Order
in Council, to appoint and declare that all costs,
charges, and expenses incident to the management
and administration of the gold fields within such
province shall be regulated by Acts or Ordinances to
be passed by the Superintendent and Provincial
Council of such province:
And whereas by an instrument in writing, bearing
date the thirteenth day of April, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-five, issued under the Seal of
the colony, the Governor, with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the colony, and in
exercise of the before-recited power, hath delegated
to the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland
all the aforesaid powers, excepting those before
recited to be excepted, to hold and exercise the said
powers within the province aforesaid:
Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor, in
pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
for this purpose by the said Act conferred, doth
hereby, with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the colony, appoint and declare that all
the costs, charges, and expenses incident to the
management and administration of the gold fields
within the aforesaid province shall be regulated by
Acts to be passed by the Superintendent and Pro-
vincial Council thereof.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
nineteenth day of April, 1875.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council made under
the provisions of "The Supreme Court Act,
1860," on the seventeenth day of March last, and
published in the New Zealand Gazette of the
eighteenth day of March last, after reciting, as is
therein recited, the Governor appointed that a Circuit
Court of the Supreme Court should be held in the
Wellington District, at the Provincial Council Cham-
ber at Napier, on Monday, the thirty-first day of
May next, as therein particularly mentioned:
And whereas it is expedient that the Circuit Court
appointed by the said recited Order in Council to
be held at the Provincial Council Chamber at Napier
on Monday, the thirty-first day of May next, should
be held on that date at the Supreme Court House at
Napier, instead of at the said Provincial Council
Chamber:
Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, in exercise and pursuance of the power and
authority vested in him by "The Supreme Court
Act, 1860," doth hereby appoint that the Circuit
Court appointed to be held as aforesaid shall be
held on the date so appointed as aforesaid, at the
Supreme Court House at Napier, in the said
district, instead of at the said Provincial Council
Chamber.

WHEREAS by "The Waste Lands Act, 1858,"
it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the
Governor in Council, at any time and from time to
time, to except from sale, and either reserve to Her
Majesty or dispose of in such other manner as for
the public interest may seem best, such of the waste
lands of the Crown in any of the provinces of the
colony as may be required for the purposes of mili-
tary defence, or for the construction of trunk lines
of road, or as sites for public buildings for the use of
the General Government, or for other purposes of
public utility or convenience:
Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the colony, in exercise and pursuance of
the power and authority in that behalf vested in
him, doth hereby except from sale and reserve to
Her Majesty the parcel of the waste lands of
the Crown particularly specified and described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the
said Schedule mentioned, and set opposite the
description of the said parcel of land.

the Province of Otago.
NOTICE is hereby given, that the parcel of
waste lands of the Crown particularly specified
and described in the Schedule hereunder written is
required for the purposes mentioned and set opposite
to the description of the said parcel of land in the
said Schedule; and that the same has been excepted
from sale and reserved to Her Majesty by the Order
in Council bearing the date mentioned in the second
column of the said Schedule.
