THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
by the Waipa River aforesaid, from the centre of the
road which forms the south-eastern boundary of
Allotment No. 18 before mentioned to the road near
the mouth of the Timaru or Bluenose Creek; thence
westward by said road for a distance of about 88
chains; thence by a right line bearing due north to
the Hakarimata Range; thence by said range and by
a right line bearing north-east to the south-western
boundary of Allotment No. 15, of the Parish of
Pepepe first mentioned, the point of commencement.

Hape Creek to its confluence with the Kauwaeranga
River; thence due westward, 80 chains; thence by a
straight line to the point of commencement, a dis-
tance of 286 chains or thereabouts—all bearings
being on the true meridian. Bounded towards the
North by the sea and the gold fields; towards the
East by the Thames Gold Field, and an irregular
boundary described by the centre of the Karaka Road
and Rolleston Street; towards the South by the
centre of the Hape Creek, the mouth of the Kauwae-
ranga River, and the sea; and towards the West by
the sea.

36. WHANGAPE DISTRICT.
Bounded on the South, from the mouth of the
Awa-o-te-Atua River, by the Newcastle District, and
by a line running from the south-western angle of
Allotment No. 15, Parish of Pepepe, due west to the
summit of the watershed between the Waikato River
and the West Coast; thence following that water-
shed towards the North to the Waikato River; and
on the North and East by the left bank of the Wai-
kato River to the mouth of the River Awa-o-te-Atua,
the point of commencement.

37. RANGIRIRI DISTRICT.
Bounded towards the South by the Mangawara
and Komakorau Rivers from the Waikato River to
the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 440 of the
Parish of Komakorau; thence by a right line bear-
ing due east to the north-eastern boundary of the
confiscated territory; thence towards the North along
the confiscated boundary to Pukorokoro, on the Hau-
raki Gulf; thence by a line south-westerly to the
most northern source of the Mangatautari River, and
by that river to its confluence with the Waikato;
and thence by the Waikato River to the mouth of
the Mangawara River, at the point of commence-
ment.

38. COROMANDEL DISTRICT.
This district includes all that portion of the Coro-
mandel Peninsula lying to the north of a line com-
mencing at Deadman's Point in the Hauraki Gulf,
and running thence along the range to the summit
of Kakatarahaia, thence by the Watershed Ranges
south-easterly to the source of the Waiwawa River,
thence by a straight line to the south-eastern angle
of the Purangi Block, thence by the eastern boundary
of the said Purangi Block to the sea coast, and in-
cludes the Mercury Islands and islands in the
Harbour of Coromandel.

39. HAURAKI DISTRICT.
Bounded on the North by the southern boundary
of the Coromandel District; on the East by the sea
to a point on the coast five miles north of Katikati;
thence on the South by a line to the summit of Te
Aroha Mountain, and by a line thence to the north-
eastern angle of the Waikato Military Settlements
Block; on the West by the north-eastern boundary
of the Confiscation Boundary to Pukorokoro on the
Hauraki Gulf; thence by the Frith of the Thames
to Deadman's Point; but exclusive of the Thames
District, herein next defined.

40. THAMES DISTRICT.
Commencing at a point bearing from Trig. Station
F 282 degrees 36 minutes 31 seconds, distant 116814
links; thence due east to Rocky Point, 80 chains ;
thence bearing 126 degrees 52 minutes, distant 4250
links to Trig. Station F; thence by straight line
to Trig. Station No. 5, Kuranui Hill; thence by
straight line to Trig. Station No. 1, Waitotahi Spur;
thence by a straight line to the centre of the Karaka
Road, opposite centre of Sandes Street; thence by
centre of Karaka Road to the centre of Rolleston
Street; thence by centre of Rolleston Street to the
centre of the Hape Creek; thence by the centre of

41. TAURANGA DISTRICT.
Bounded towards the North by the Hauraki Dis-
trict hereinbefore defined from the sea to the summit
of Te Aroha Mountain; thence south-easterly by
the summit of Te Aroha Range and a line to the
summit of Otanewainuku Mountain; thence on the
South-east by a line to the mouth of the Wairaki
Stream; and towards the North-east by the sea to the
commencing point, including Mayor, Motiti, and
Plate Islands, excluding the Te Papa District, herein-
before defined.

42. TE PAPA DISTRICT.
Bounded towards the North by the Harbour of
Tauranga; towards the East by the harbour afore-
said and the Waimapu River to the south-eastern
angle of Allotment No. 270, which said allotment,
together with all the allotments hereafter mentioned,
are in the Parish of Te Papa; towards the South by
the southern boundary of said Allotment No. 270;
thence crossing a road 100 links wide to the southern
boundary of Allotment No. 259; thence by said
southern boundary to the road which forms part of
the eastern boundary of Allotment No. 258; thence
by the centre of said road to the southern boundary
of Allotment No. 258 aforesaid; thence by said last-
named boundary and the southern boundary of
Allotment No. 256 to the road which forms the
eastern boundary of Allotment No. 225; thence
by the centre of said road to the southern boundary
of said Allotment No. 225: and by said last-named
boundary and by the southern boundary of Allotment
No. 221 to the road which forms its south-western
boundary; thence by the centre of said road, and by
the centre of the road which forms the southern
boundary of Allotment No. 142, to the southern
boundary of Allotment No. 138; thence by said
last-named boundary to the road which forms the
north-western boundary of Allotment No. 138 afore-
said; thence by the centre of said road to the
southern boundary of Allotment No. 135 to the
southern and western boundaries of said Allotment
No. 135, to the southern boundary of Allotment
No. 125; thence by part of said southern boundary
and by the southern and part of the western bound-
aries of Allotment No. 122 to the road, which forms
part of the southern boundary of said last-named lot;
thence by the centre of said road to Omanawa
Creek; thence by said creek to its confluence with
the Wairoa River; and towards the West by the
Wairoa River aforesaid to the Harbour of Tauranga,
the place of commencement.

43. MAKETU DISTRICT.
Bounded towards the North by the sea from the
mouth of the Wairaki Stream to a point five miles
east of the mouth of the Matata River; thence by a
line to Mount Edgecumbe; thence by a line to a
point five miles due south of the most southerly
extremity of Rere Whakaitu Lake; thence by a line
till it meets the extremity of a line drawn due south
a distance of twenty-two miles from Otanewainuku
Mountain; thence by the last-mentioned line and the
