Government has been pleased to appoint

WILLIAM PARKER STREET, Esq.,

to be Returning Officer for the election of Members
of the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago
for the Electoral Districts of City of Dunedin, North
Harbour, Wakari, Kaikorai, Caversham, and Penin-
sula, vice A. R. Chetham-Strode, Esq., resigned.

HIS Excellency the Officer Administering the
Government has been pleased to disband the
under-mentioned Corps, viz.:-
The Blenheim Rifle Volunteers.
The Prince Alfred Rifle Volunteers.
The Blenheim Rifle Volunteer Cadets.
The Carlyle Light Horse Volunteers.

The under-mentioned gentlemen have therefore
ceased to hold the rank of officers, their commissions
having, under the provisions of "The Volunteer Act,
1865," lapsed:-
William Evans Dive, Esq., late Captain, Prince
Alfred Rifle Volunteers.
George Beamish, Esq., late Lieutenant, Carlyle
Light Horse Volunteers.

  1. On the 1st of March a Money Order Office will
    be opened in London at-
    Oxford Street (Soho), No. 431
    Postal
    District.
    W.

  2. The designation of the Money Order Office at
    Kennington Park Road, S.E., will be changed to
    Kennington Park, and the Offices at Oxford Street,
    No. 26 (near Rathbone Place) W., and Putney
    (High Street), S.W., will be abolished.

  3. Money Order Offices will be opened in the
    Country at-

    (South Shields) will be designated Holborn only.
  4. The under-mentioned Money Order Sub Offices
