THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
Wangaehu River to a point in continuation of the
northern boundary of the Rangitikei (Land) District,
thence along that boundary to the Rangitikei River,
and thence by a line due east to the Ruahine Ranges;
on the East by the Ruahine Ranges; and on the
West by Cook Strait, by the Waitotara River, and
by the boundary of confiscated lands lying between
the Waitotara River and the boundary of the Pro-
vince.

White's Bay from Robin Hood's Bay to Mount
Richmond, thence by a line running northerly to the
Red Hills, thence by the eastern boundary of the
Nelson District to the Wairau Gorge, thence to the
summit of the watershed between the Gorge and
Barefell's Pass, thence to the upper gorge of the
Clarence, thence in a south-easterly direction to the
summit of the Gorge, thence along the range by the
summits to Mounts Freya and Thor, thence to the
junction of the first branch of the Clarence, thence
down the Clarence to its mouth, thence following the
sea coast to the aforesaid range of hills dividing
White's Bay from Robin Hood's Bay.

PROVINCE OF TARANAKI.

  1. PATEA DISTRICT.
    Bounded on the North-west by the River Taunga-
    tara from the sea to its source, thence by a direct
    line to the summit of Mount Egmont; on the North-
    east by the boundary of the confiscated lands to
    where it strikes the Waitotara River; on the South-
    east by that river; and on the South-west by the
    sea to the commencing point.

  2. NEW PLYMOUTH DISTRICT.
    Bounded on the North by the River Mokau to its
    source; on the East by a right line running from the
    source of the River Mokau to the point where the
    Ngahuinga or Tuhua, the principal tributary of the
    Wanganui River, is intersected by the thirty-ninth
    parallel of South latitude, thence by the River
    Wanganui to the point where it is met by the
    Taumatamahoe Path leading from the River Waitara,
    thence by a right line running from the above-
    described point on the Wanganui River in the
    direction of the mouth of the River Patea until it
    intersects the north-east boundary of the confiscated
    lands; on the South-west by the boundary of confis-
    cated lands from the above described point of
    intersection to the summit of Mount Egmont, and by
    the sea coast from the mouth of the River Tau-
    ngatara to the mouth of the River Mokau; on the
    South-east by a line from the summit of Mount
    Egmont to the source of the River Taungatara, and
    by the said river to the sea coast; and on the West
    and North-west by the sea coast, from the mouth of
    the River Taungatara to the mouth of the River
    Mokau.

  3. KAIKOURAS DISTRICT.
    Bounded on the North by the southern boundary
    of Wairau District from Barefell's Pass to the
    mouth of the Clarence, thence following the sea
    coast to the mouth of the River Tutaiputuputu or
    ('onway, thence following that river to its source,
    thence running in a straight line to the confluence
    of the Rivers Acheron and Clarence, thence by the
    Acheron to the confluence of the Guide, and by that
    stream to Barefell's Pass.

  4. PELORUS DISTRICT.
    Bounded towards the East by the western bound-
    ary of the Picton District from Alligator Head to
    the south-west corner of the same district; thence by
    a right line to a point in the Kaituna Valley seven
    miles from the Wairau River; thence up a line to the
    summit of the range of hills dividing the Pelorus and
    Wairau Rivers; thence by a line along the said
    summit to Mount Richmond; thence towards the
    West and North-west by a right line to the Red
    Hills; and thence by the north-western boundary of
    the Province of Marlborough to Tennyson's Inlet.

PROVINCE OF MARLBOROUGH.

  1. PICTON DISTRICT.
    Bounded towards the North and East by the coast
    line from Alligator Head between Guard's and Waitui
    Bays, to the east end of the range of hills dividing
    White's Bay from Robin Hood's Bay, including Ara-
    pawa Island, and all other islands in Queen Charlotte
    Sound, Port Underwood, &c.; thence on the South
    by a right line to a point in the Tua Marina Valley,
    five miles due north from the mouth of the Tua
    Marina River; thence along a right line (for about
    five miles) bearing to a point in the Kaituna Valley
    seven miles from the Wairau River; thence towards
    the West by a right line bearing nearly due north to
    the summit of the range dividing Queen Charlotte
    and Pelorus Sounds, the said line being a continuation
    of the dividing line between Sections 34, 35, 36, 37,
    and 39, 13, 12, 51, on the plan of the District of
    Matiatipawa; thence by the summit of the last
    mentioned range to Alligator Head.

  2. WAIRAU DISTRICT.
    Bounded on the North by the southern boundary
    of Picton District from the range of hills dividing

PROVINCE OF NELSON.

  1. MOTUEKA DISTRICT.
    Commencing at the south headland of Bark Bay,
    following a leading spur to Mount Richards; thence
    along the watershed line between the Motueka,
    Takaka, and Riwaka Valleys, to the summit of
    Mount Arthur; thence by the watershed line, which
    includes all the drainage area of the River Pearse, to
    the junction of the Rivers Motueka and Dove;
    thence by the River Dove to the main road leading
    from the Village of Thorpe to the Moutere; thence
    along the said road to the Educational Reserve,
    Section 38, Square III.; thence by a line in the
    same direction to the road on the ridge between Sec-
    tions 37 and 38, Square III.; thence along the said
    road by the Red Hill to the Village of Bronti (and in-
    cluding that village); thence by the sea coast to the
    south headland of Bark Bay.

  2. NELSON DISTRICT.
    Commencing at the eastern point of the road by
    the Red Hill to the Village of Bronti, at that village,
    and following the southern boundary of the Motueka
    District to the junction of the Rivers Dove and
    Motueka; thence Southward by the Motueka River
    to the division line between Sections 83 and 85,
    Square VI.; thence along that line and continuation
    to Stanley Brook; thence along Stanley Brook to
    the track leading from Wangapeka to Pigeon Valley;
    thence along the track and road through Pigeon
    Valley to the River Wai-iti; thence along the River
    Wai-iti to its junction with the River Wairoa; thence
