And to extend Victoria Street to Victoria Quad-
rant over part of Allotment 31 of Section 4 of the
City of Auckland.
And to make and maintain a street from Victoria
Quadrant, near the Wesleyan Chapel, in a northerly
direction, into Shortland Street, and thence into
Fort Street, near its junction with Commerce Street.
And a street proceeding from the southerly end of
Princes Street in a straight or nearly straight line to
Symonds Street, at or near its junction with Aber-
crombie Street.
And it is intended to apply for powers to enable
the said Commissioners to take and purchase lands
and houses compulsorily for the purposes of the said
streets, and to take and purchase compulsorily other
lands and houses adjacent to such streets, for the
purposes of re-sale after such streets shall have been
formed. And power will be sought in the said Bill to
enable the said Commissioners to construct the street
from Coburg Street, near Victoria Street, to Princes
Street, of a width of 66 feet. And to exchange the
Militia Store, reserved by "The Auckland Improve-
ment (Albert Barrack Reserves) Act, 1872," for another
building, provided by the said Commissioners. And
to straighten the boundary line between the Albert
Barracks and Government House Grounds. And to
enable the said Commissioners to stop Coburg Street,
between the northerly boundary of Dr. Philson's
property and its junction with Wellesley Street East,
and to enable the Governor to grant to the said Dr.
Philson a triangular piece of land adjoining his said
property, at present part of Wellesley Street, and to
make the abandoned portion of Coburg Street land
subject to the control of the said Commissioners.
And to close O'Connell Street and Thompson's Lane,
and to alter and widen Chancery Street.
All which said streets and lands are situated in the
City of Auckland and Province of Auckland.
And notice is hereby further given, that all plans,
sections, and book of reference, and of this notice,
will be deposited for public inspection at the Office of
the Commissioner of Crown Lands, in Auckland, not
less than thirty days before the commencement of
the said Session, and copies of the said Bill will be
deposited in the Examiner's Office within fourteen
days after the commencement of the said Session.
