THE following Proclamation, issued by His Excel-
lency the Governor of Victoria, is republished
for general information.

DISCONTINUING THE QUARANTINING OF VESSELS,

&c., ARRIVING FROM NEW ZEALAND.
PROCLAMATION.
By His Excellency the Right Honorable John Henry
Thomas Viscount Canterbury, of the City of
Canterbury in the County of Kent, and Baron
Bottesford, of Bottesford in the County of Lei-
cester, in the Peerage of the United Kingdom
of Great Britain and Ireland, Knight Com-
mander of the Most Honorable Order of the
Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and
over the Colony of Victoria, &c., &c., &c.
WHEREAS by a Proclamation under my hand and the
Seal of the Colony, bearing date the fourth day of
July, in the present year, I did, in pursuance of the
provisions of "The Public Health Statute, 1865"
(28 Victoria, No. 264), with the advice of the
Executive Council, notify that the Colony of New
Zealand was infected with small-pox, and that it was
probable such disease might be brought from any of
the Ports of New Zealand to Victoria: And whereas
it is expedient to revoke such Proclamation: Now
therefore I, the Governor of Victoria, with the advice
of the Executive Council, do hereby revoke my said
Proclamation, bearing date the fourth day of July, in
the present year, and do notify that vessels arriving
in Victoria from any of the Ports of New Zealand,
and persons and things on board thereof, shall no
longer be liable to quarantine in pursuance of my
said Proclamation.
Given under my hand and the Seal of the
Colony, at Melbourne, this twenty-fifth
day of November, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-two, and in the thirty-sixth year
of Her Majesty's reign.
